(Bill's POV)
"Richie, I swear if you don't stop teasing me, I will push you off this cliff." Sounds like someone isn't happy.
Even though my parents told me that we couldn't leave the house, we went to the quarry. And while Richie was busy teasing Eddie because he didn't want to be the first to jump, Stan, Ben, and I were playing rock, paper, scissors to see who would be the first to jump of the three of us.
I know what you're probably thinking, "Bill, why are you and everyone else doing all this stuff in one day?" Well, if it was your last weekend of summer before school started up again, would you just sit around doing nothing? I'm assuming not. Yeah, we had most of tomorrow to do stuff, but we wanted to get as much done as we could today.
I hadn't noticed that Stanley left my side until I heard a loud splash and I looked up. Stan was standing where Richie and Eddie had been a few seconds ago.
"I can't stand it when they argue like seven year olds." Stanley said nonchalantly, as if he hadn't just pushed two of our friends off a cliff.
"Did you have to push them, though?" Ben asked. Stan stayed silent for a second. He was either asking himself the same thing or wondering why he wouldn't push them.
"Yes." He replied. With that, Stanley jumped off the cliff into the water, watching to make sure he didn't land on Richie or Eddie.
I jumped off too, Ben following suit shortly after.
(Richie's POV)
When everyone was in the water, we didn't really do anything other than swim around a little. It wasn't as fun being at the quarry with only five of us.
Ben had seen a turtle just like he had before, and that same turtle thought it would be a good idea to go under Eddie's feet. He squealed like a little girl, then calmed down when he realized it was just a turtle.
-Time Skip-
Stan had gathered some cool looking rocks he saw at the bottom of the quarry. He and Bill were looking at them together. The second turtle came back by us, and Ben was busy trying to catch it.
Noticing that no one was paying attention to Eddie and I, I sunk slowly underwater. I grabbed Eddie by the wrist dragging him down with me (Hah frick you, it chapter 2).
I grabbed Eddie by his face and pulled him into a short kiss. We both pulled away quickly and came back up above the water (I said it was a short kiss).
Eddie's cheeks were really red. He was fast to get over his flusteredness.
"First, you shouldn't have done that in front of them. And second, do you know how many diseases we could get from the water?"
"Oh, come on, Eds. They weren't watching us at all. And, if the water wasn't clean then this wouldn't be called a quarry." I responded.
"You know what, I'm not gonna argue with you right now." Eddie sighed.
"Well, if we're not arguing, was it good?" I asked.
"Was what good?"
"The kiss. Was it good?" I was afraid it was a bad kiss, since it was only my second time kissing someone.
"Oh," Eddie cheeks started turning a bright red again. "Yeah. It was great." He smiled slightly. I smiled back. It was definitely a little awkward talking to each other after we just kissed, but I was trying to get over the awkwardness.
"You guys do realize we can hear you, right?" Stan asked us, without looking up from his rocks.
"Well it's not like anyone cares." I replied.
"Yeah, true." I keep forgetting how little of a shit Stanley gives compared to Eddie.
"Anyway, I'm just gonna go back to ignoring you." Stan said, doing as he told us he would.
Eddie and I looked away from Stanley and at each other again.
"Well, that was a little embarrassing." Eddie said quietly.
"Eh, they still don't care." I responded. Eddie sighed, clearly seeing that I wouldn't be any help stopping him from being embarrassed.
"Hey, Stan? Do you know how long we've b-been out here?" Bill asked. Stan shrugged.
"I'm not sure. I left my watch with my clothes up on the cliff. It's probably been at least 40 minutes."
"Should we head back to your house then, Bill? Or are we staying here for a little longer?"
"I don't know, B-Ben. We could go now, b-but I wanna know what you guys think."
"I think we should head back. My tits are starting to get cold." I said.
"Richie! You don't have boobs!" Eddie definitely wasn't happy about what I said.
"Ok then. I think we should probably head back too." Stan spoke before we could start yelling at each other.
"I also think we should. After we're dry, of course." Eddie agreed.
With that, we went back to the top of the cliff (I don't know how they get back up there at all).
We all made sure we were mostly dry before putting on our clothes, and we headed back to Bill's house.
