La Mawo Beach Resort!
Currently, my mind was all about to blow up. Worried about what bad could happen to my sister, Charlotte. And yes, I know she has always been rude and self-centered, but she's still my sister. I can't just sit back and rest hoping nothing bad will come to her, and I know, she won't even appreciate all this trouble I am going through to making sure she's back safe at the resort.
I tried like a million times calling her phone, but there was no response. I felt like I was about to lose myself! I began going around the resort into her friends' rooms trying to see if there's anyone who might have been in touch with her for the past few minutes.
"Have you seen Charlotte? Or maybe spoken to her via phone call!?"I would ask her friends.
"We don't know and don't care. So, get lost dummy!" they mostly replied.
"But she's your friend guys, how can you say you don't care?"
"Well, she's not here right now, is she?"
"Screw you all!" I stormed off to every single door that gave me that same response.
Even her very own best friend replied the same, her name is Lauren Johnson. She's a freak, I've no idea what Charlotte saw in her to be her best friend. And now that everyone turned me down, and I couldn't just leave the resort to go find her, I don't even know the town, that brings me to a tough question, how did she even get through the guards downstairs on her to the mall?
And so, I was just standing outside Lauren's room door leaning by the wall, and Sophie met me there, with a totally worrying face.
"How did it go?" she asked.
"Well, it happens to be that every one of her friends doesn't even care about her whereabouts!" I replied.
"That's sad!"
"I know, right!?"
"So, what are you going to do?"
"I'm going to call mom and tell her before she gets the news from someone else..."
"Are you sure that's a good idea? I mean, you'll get your parents to worry about you guys, and they're like miles away."
"It's worth a shot, than just sitting here like a pile of nothing. She just doesn't understand how it bothers me on her safety, I love her so much... but she acts like I'm not even a human!" I spoke emotionally.
"I know Meg, maybe she'll come around someday."
"When is it going to be? I miss my sister already!"
"Okay, here's my phone. Give your mom a call, maybe she has heard something from her recently..." she said while handing me her phone.
"Thanks..." I took the phone and dialed mom's phone number and the phone began ringing.
"Hey honey..." mom picked up.
"Hi, mom. You okay?"
"Yeah sweetheart, are you okay? And Charlotte?"
"Am fine mom..."
"Well, and Charlotte?"
"She... she is... she..." I couldn't find a better way to say it to her.
"She is what Megan? Come on, tell me if she's okay!" she insisted.
"You stop right there miss lame!" Charlotte's voice yelled from Lauren's room, rushing out just as I was about to tell mom.
"Charlotte!" I was shocked to see her from Lauren's room.
"What's going on Meg?" mom kept on asking.
"Mom, sorry got to go. And yes, Charlotte's okay... she is perfectly fine. Bye, call you soon!" I disconnected the call.
"What the hell Charlotte!?" I yelled.
"Excuse me! You don't get to yell at me..." she replied
"Ooh heck yes, I have got the right to yell at you. What is this all about? You left a note, it clearly said you left for the mall, and what exactly are you doing in Lauren's room?"
"I thought that's a good thing she's not at the mall?" Sophie suggested.
"Whatever... but she lied, and she gave me a panic attack. I thought you were right now surrounded by fire, just about to die!" I kept on yelling, and it made our friends coming out from their rooms trying to see what was going on.
"Ooh, you are such a drama queen!" Charlotte mocked me.
"You can't be serious right now. I went over every room asking for you, worried sick..."
"So what? Was that supposed to mean something? I left the note because I did not want you guys to find me for the rest of the day!"
"Who said we would bother finding you?" Sophie asked.
"I would... I would bother finding you because you're my sister. And nothing will ever change that in the whole universe, no matter where you are, I'll always want to find you... maybe someday you would bother too!" I stormed off.
"Yeah, you better run... I can't deal with the morning breath drama!" Charlotte added.
"Then go deal with your laid drama!" I yelled back while still walking away, and my response made a whispers attack all over the hallway.
***************
I rushed inside my room and threw myself on the bed and buried my body with the pile of pillows. Sophie returned back to the room too, and to my guess, she was trying to find a way to talk me out of it... but at the same time, I thought to myself, "What the fuck! How can one human being turn my day upside down? Like seriously, I should be dealing with my own stuff, after all, I have Sophie by my side, that's all I need!"
"So, Meg... I know this is hard but..."
"I think we should now start to figure out what to wear for the party!" I got up and interrupted her...
"Ooh... are you okay? Are you seriously over that whole drama already?"
"Why should I care if she doesn't? She made her choice, and maybe I should make mine too!"
"Wow! I'm so in love with this all-new version of you just now! I hope it lasts long..."
"Trust me, it will..."
"And get me right here. I am not saying you shouldn't totally care for her, but at least you don't get to waste your entire life behind her shadow!" Sophie added.
"And that's what I was thinking! It's time I make some updates in my life..." I concluded.
