La Mawo Forests!

"Come on Meg, figure out something!" "Meg, wake up... you can't sleep now, you don't even know where Charlotte is!" I could hear voices from my head. They yelled too many things that I should and shouldn't do, and my body was all still, couldn't move a muscle as I was so worried about our safety.

We had slept on one of the areas in the forests, out in the wilderness, not sure if we were safe. But all we could say to each other was, things are going to be fine. Others were already asleep, no one's phone was really working, and so, every phone was just there on the ground, useless.

I felt like I couldn't even close my eyes. "What if you sleep and someone comes and blows you all up..." the voices could still be saying. And suddenly, I heard a tree branch break on the ground. It felt like someone else was in that area with us. I got up and I wanted to wake Sophie, Rafael, and others to warn them... but something told me, I should first take a look, maybe it's just a cat or a dog wandering about.

I got up and began moving slowly and sneaky to where I heard the branch breaking noise. "Meg, you should definitely wake others up. You can't do this alone!" the voices kept on yelling while I took step after step to see who was there with us. Darkness covered all the areas, with the trees everywhere. If you got a few steps away from where you had settled, on my guess, you could be lost.

And yes, I realized I lost the way back to where I settled with my friends. And now, there was no going back. And "Shush!" a hand covered my mouth from behind and grabbed me to one of the trees... it seemed like we were hiding from something else apart from me and the one who grabbed me.

"Help, help..." I tried yelling, but my voice wasn't loud enough.

"I said shush... keep it down, or else you'll die!" a man's voice said to me while still holding me and covering my mouth.

"Let me go!" I kept on trying to yell out loud, but my words couldn't come outright...

"Girl, understand me... I'm trying to save you here. Keep it down and I'll let you go when it's good for you to go!" he insisted on whispering. And I decided to agree with his words, but honestly, I was nearly dropping the pee out of me!

After I had kept it down, I surely heard footsteps from near the area, with men and women moving around with guns and sharp weapons, I could later see. After some time, they walked away from the area, and all I could think was, "Ooh, thank you God they did not reach my friends!" to how they looked like, it was like if they could find anyone out there, trust me, it was the last day to see the sun for the caught!

The man holding me, he now let me go... and I ran a distance away from him, just to be sure if he had planned to attack me I could run as fast as I could.

"I'm sorry about that. But my friends aren't the understanding kind of friends!" he said.

"And you still hang with them," I said back.

"They're my brothers and sisters, I can't just walk away from them and start a new life. Especially now!"

"Yeah, I don't care!" I began walking away from him.

"Hey, wait."

"Won't I get a thank you, maybe?" he added.

I stopped walking and my face was all confused at the moment.

"Okay... who are you exactly and what do you want from me?" I turned and asked him just be sure. He sounded weird.

"I'm the guy who saved your life, and I need a thank you from one I just saved... maybe a name could help!"

"My name is out of this conversation!"

"Yeah right! You think I'm trying to spy on you, or something?"

"Maybe. Who knows?"

"Can you stop acting like a kid? A guy who just saved you, can't just spy on you that easily!"

"Ooh, and in case you didn't know... that's how they start sometimes, and it ends very badly for the girls saved by these so calling themselves saving guys!"

"Is that what the movies lie to you? And you believe?"

"It's not the movies!"

"Yeah right..."

"Okay, fine! It's Meg..." I decided to give him the name.

"It's Meg, what?" he acted confused.

"Ooh come on. I am walking away!" I played along with his game.

"Okay, no. wait. I get it, Meg! But is it only Meg? There should be something else!"

"Okay, it's Megan Miller!" he began to annoy me.

"Wow. What a name! Mine is Ephraim..."

"Nice to meet you, Ephraim. In a weird way!" I smiled. Come on, what's wrong with me? I'm right now talking to the guy who just covered my mouth and said he was trying to save me, and I'm smiling at him... who am I?

"Are you okay?" he asked.

"Yes, I'm fine... now can I please go?"

"What! Are you scared of my gun now?" he smiled back. And yes, I forgot to mention that detail, he was holding a gun. So I began wondering, is this some sort of a forced conversation, or a normal willing conversation?

"No... I'm not scared of little toys!"

"Little toys huh!?" and just as he said that he was hit by something hard on his head from behind him. I honestly didn't see anyone before that, but it happened. And guess what...

"Ooh my God, Rafael... what did you do!?" I ran towards Ephraim after he had fallen on the ground.

"I thought he was trying to hurt you or threaten you!"

"He wasn't. He saved me, he was helping... and look at what you did!" I sounded worried.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know!"

"Yeah, and look what happened on you not knowing!" did that come out right? I'm not sure, but I said it already... and you can't do anything about it. But I was so worried at the moment on what I will have to do to make Ephraim understand after he wakes up.
