♥*The Vanishing of Will Byers*♥
The intro tune of Bohemian Rhapsody had just started playing on Carolines record player filled the room as Caroline and Alexis played a competitive game of Go Fish. Both she and Alexis started bopping their heads to the music as this was their favorite song to listen to together.
- Any 8s'?- Caroline asked with a smirk knowing that she was lucky to pick up an eight from the pile. Alexis had been asking for the last card for quite some time.
- You cheated!- She pouted and furrowed her eyebrows as she handed me her 3 cards.
- Nope, I just got really lucky." I say with a small smile as I layout my new set in front of me along with my other 4 sets.
The two girls we're currently tied with 4 sets each and after a while of playing, Alexis won by getting the set of 2s and 7s. Right now Caroline was walking around her room choosing a new record while Alexis used her powers to pack away the cards. Red mist had formed around her hands and the cards as she twirled her index fingers in the air putting in the cards into the box.
- Time for some Mr. Blue Sky - Caroline said with a smile and motioned Alexis to stand up.
The sisters started dancing around the room with hairbrushes in their hand slip syncing to the song pretending that they were performing on a stage in front of hundreds of people. This was gonna be the last time that these sisters were gonna feel like kids, feel free and be this happy. The duo would get a phone call the following morning that would change their lives forever.
Following morning
The piercing sound of her alarm woke her up and she slammed her hand on it to shut it up. Her tired groan filled the room as she stepped out of bed and dragged herself to the bathroom to take a quick shower. After that she dried up, wrapped a towel around me then she walked over to her closet then she pulls out her cuffed jeans, yellow sweater, and combat books. She finishes dressing up then she tied her hair in a low ponytail. She felt like today was gonna be a great day as she smiled at herself in the mirror, that's what she thought before her phone began to ring.
- Caroline- Jonathan sniffed on the other end of the phone, his voice was shaky and laced with a heck lot of emotions.
- Hey, what's wrong?- She replied in concern for one of her oldest friends who sounded distraught
-You haven't seen Will, have you?- He asked with discomfort laced in his voice.
- No. Why? Weren't him and the boys playing their campaign today at Mike's house?- She hesitated
Jonathan went silent and all she heard was sniffing and breathing.
- Jonathan what's going on!- Her mind started twisting and turning thinking about all the different situations that could've happened last night.
- Will... he's... he's missing "

After Caroline received this horrible news she told him she would be there in five and called Valerie to meet her at Jonathan's house right after that her and Alexis got into her black 1983 BMW 6 series and drove over to his house.
" This is all my fault," Caroline exclaimed as she threw her hands up in the air as the guilt came upon her. Caroline had been offered a day off and she decided to take it.
" I shouldn't have taken that day off."She continued
" No. Its only mine. I should have turned down the extra shift, especially since my mom was working late. He depended on me being home and I wasn't and now..." Jonathan rambled, you could see that he hadn't slept in hours.
He closed his eyes right before Caroline quickly stood up and rushed over to Jonathan and pulled him into a hug and he sobbed into her shoulder. As soon as she pulled him in Valerie and Alexis came along and made the hug into a group hug.
" It's ok Jonny ... let it all out."Caroline cooed saying the nickname that she had been calling him since they were kids and gently rubbed his hair.
The group stayed like that for a few minutes as Jonathan's tears soaked the cotton of her sweater. Will was like a little brother to her, Alexis and Valerie. They could remember those times where they would go for ice cream with the boys or the times where they attempted to play D&D, keyword attempted, at some point, they would give up and watch as the boys would act out different moments in the game and laugh at their dramatics. But Caroline's most favorite was when Joyce came home the day Will Byers was born. The three, four-year-olds had spent that entire day playing card games with him to calm his nerves.
From that moment onwards the group was going to do everything in their power to bring the young boy home. But it wasn't only those teens that were worried, Joyce had been frantic for quite some while now due to the unknown whereabouts of her youngest child.
