"I haven't ignored you."
-
"Who says you make me swoon?" I ask.
"I see it in your eyes. It's called lust, dear." He grins.
"How dare you speak to me like that. You know nothing about me, so how should you know whether I fancy you or not?" I countered.
"I know you fancy me. Everyone does." He smirked.
"Don't be so full of yourself, Harold." I scoffed and grabbed my clutch, beginning to leave Oranjee.
"Please, don't leave." Harold said.
"Why bother staying? I would not enjoy my time." I looked up, refusing to look him in the eye.
"Katherine I beg of you, please sit." He said. I quietly set my clutch on the table and sit back down.
"Thank you." He smiles nervously.
"Why do you want me here, anyway, Harold?" I ask.
"Because I fancy you, Katherine."
"Why me?"
"Because you're the only one who doesn't seem to fancy me, back, I assume. I can't decide if it's that, or your beautiful, breath-taking features, or even if it's as simple as your elegant personality. But if I may say, you're gorgeous, Katherine. And I want to make you mine...if you'll have me." He sighs faintly.
"Are you asking me to be your partner?" I ask. He nods.
"Take me as yours, Katherine." He says slowly.
"I'll think about it. This can be a date." I say.
He smiles.
