Thomas and Ellie are goofing off with Gray and Violet when Thomas' phone goes off. He leaves the room and answers his phone. "Hello?" he says, "Kara? A murder? Fingerprints? You want Ellie and me to arrest him? Okay. Of course we'll be careful. Bye."
He ends the call and walks back into the room. "Kara?" Ellie asks.
"Yeah," he answers, "there's been a murder. A man's fingerprints were all over the crime scene. Kara wants us to arrest him."
"Okay. That's easy enough. Matt!"
Matt appears from upstairs. "Yes?" he asks.
"Will you watch Gray and Violet? Thomas and I have to go arrest a guy."
"Of course." He says as he walks over to her. "Be careful." He kisses her gently on her lips.
Once they're finished kissing, she looks up at him and says, "I always am." Thomas and her leave. They run into the woods and shift into their wolf forms. They run until they're a couple blocks away from the house. They shift back into their human forms and start to walk toward the house. Once they reach the house, they walk up to the porch and ring the doorbell. When several minutes pass and no one answers the door, Ellie goes around to the back door and picks the lock.
The front door opens a few minutes after Ellie leaves. "Hey," Ellie says, "I found our guy."
"Where is he?" Thomas asks.
"In the kitchen. He's dead and all over the place." Ellie leads Thomas to the kitchen, where the man's body is.
Thomas lets out a gasp when he sees the condition the kitchen's in. There are pots and pans spewed all over the place, blood is smeared across the floor and walls, and the man's parts and innards are scattered all over the place. "Oh," Thomas says, "when you said his body is all over the place, you literally meant all over the place."
"Yeah," Ellie answers, "what else would I mean?"
"Nothing, come on, let's search for clues." Ellie goes to search the living room, while Thomas takes pictures of the kitchen.
"Hey, Thomas?" Ellie yells.
"Yeah?" he yells back.
"Come here. I found something you might want to see." Thomas walks into the living room.
"What is it?" Ellie holds up a book. "Okay, what's that?"
"A book for black magic."
"Shit! We're dealing with something undead then."
"It would seem that way."
"We should take this with us. We wouldn't want the wrong people to get a hold of this."
"Agreed, come on. Let's report to Kara."
