Thomas and Ellie return home the next day. Ellie's injuries make it impossible for her to do anything for too long. Thomas makes sure she doesn't push herself too much. Eventually Kara calls them in again.

By that time, Ellie's head is still not healed fully. Thomas makes sure she's safely in the car before going over to his side. The drive there is silent.

The driver pulls into the parking lot and Thomas looks at Ellie. Her eyes are closed and she's awfully pale. "Ellie," he whispers, "Ellie!"

She jolts upward. "What?" she murmurs.

"We're here. Stay there. I'll carry you in."

She doesn't argue. She waits for him to come over to her side. He opens the door and carefully hoists her into his arms. He carries her inside and into Kara's office.

He gently places her on the couch. "Hey, Kara," he says, "what'd you need?"

"Um, I, uh, well," she stutters, "I need some advice."

"Advice? Wait, you called us here to get advice from us!"

"Um, yes. That's not all though. I want to tell you something and I think it's better if you hear it in person."

"Okay, let's hear it."

"I'm...I'm...I'm..."

"You're what?"

"I'm seeing someone, okay!"

Ellie looks up at her. "That's great Kara," she says genuinely, "He better treat you well! If he doesn't I'll kill him!

Kara laughs nervously, "I have no doubt that you will, but I wanted advice on dating..."

"What?" Thomas exclaims, "You want dating advice from us?"

"Well, you have Cathleen and Ellie has Matt. I just thought..." She shifts uncomfortably.

"Well," Ellie says as she sits up, "just be yourself. That's pretty much all you have to do. If he doesn't like you for you then he's not worth your time."

"Be yourself. O..okay I can do that." Kara takes a deep breath.

Thomas and Ellie are about to leave when a handsome young man comes in. "Kara?" he says, "Are you in here?"

Kara pales and starts to panic. Ellie looks at her and mouths it's okay. "Yeah," Kara answers, "I'm here!"

A young man comes through the office door and walks over to Kara. "Hey," he says as he gently plants a kiss on her cheek, "who are they?"

"Um," Kara states, "these are the kids that my mom...I mean my sister took in. The ones I told you about."

His eyes widen. "Oh, hello. It's nice to meet you two. Kara talks about you a lot."

"It's nice to meet you too," Thomas says politely. Ellie doesn't respond, instead she glares at him intensely.

"Uh, my name's Kaleb." He looks nervously at Ellie. "Have I done something? Why is she glaring at me?"

"Ellie..." Kara pleads, "Be nice."

Ellie lets out a huff. "Hello," she says, "you better treat Kara well. If I find out that you're not, I'll kill you." She walks out of the room.

"She's serious, you know," Thomas says, "she'll kill you if you hurt Kara in any way. The same goes for me." He walks out after Ellie.

"I'm sorry," Kara whispers, "please, they're protective of me, that's all."

Thomas finds Ellie outside, with her eyes closed and her body leaning against a pillar. He rushes over to her. "Ellie!" he yells,"What's wrong?"

"My head..." she mumbles, "is spinning." She sinks to the ground, clutching her head with her hands.

"Come on, let's get you home." He helps her up and guides her to a hidden field. He shifts and kneels down so Ellie can get onto his back. He runs slowly to ensure that Ellie doesn't fall off him.

Once they're at home, Thomas helps her out, and carries her up to their penthouse. Inside the penthouse, he puts her on the couch and runs to the kitchen. He returns, several seconds later with an ice pack. He holds it to her head and she relaxes.
