Life is rough for Chris Archer. She never knew a certain place to call home, as her mom and aunt were always on the move. Her memories were a collection of streets and towns, most of which she only saw for a few weeks. Every move was the "last move", that was until 1989. Being the new kid was always terrible, especially moving to a small town like Derry, Maine. Everyone knew each other and everyone had already established their relationships. Chris would always be a lonely outlier until the next town. It turns out, Derry has seven other outliers with no craving to fit in, either.
When an evil force arises in the town, the young teens have no choice, but to stop it. Derry was not what Chris had imagined it to be, but it turned out to be much, much better.
