When Lizzie pulled up at the school, Chris told her that she was going to go with Richie to arcade. She found it quite amusing that her niece was finally starting to socialize with the other kids. She handed her some change. "Here's for when you want to go to the payphone and call us", she said. "Be safe, have fun, and call us if anything goes wrong". "I know", replied Chris. Even though they let Chris explore the town a little bit, Lizzie and Gwen are still cautious of Chris due to the amount of children that had gone missing.

Chris and Richie walked together down to the arcade. As the two preteens were walking, they began to talk about each other. "I'm glad we got to do this", he spoke up.

"So this is a date?", she turned to ask him.

"What? No, No. why would-"

"Relax, I'm just fucking with you", she chuckled. "Right", he let out a nervous chuckle. "So you've just been moving to different cities your entire life?"

"Pretty much, well, almost my entire life. After my parents separated, my mom and my aunt decided to move somewhere else to start a new life, but almost every move is the start of a new life"

"Jeez, that sucks", he adjusted his glasses.

Chris shrugged. It was normal for her, even though she knew it shouldn't be. " I'm used to it. I lived in all kinds of places", she explained. "At one point, I lived in California"

"Did you go to LA?"

"Yeah. It's pretty cool" she replied. "And I know what you're thinking. I didn't meet any celebrities. Although, I kind of wish I ran into people like Alyssa Milano or Patrick Swayze"

"Oh. For me, it's probably Bill Murray or Arnold Schwarzenegger"

"Get to da Choppa!", Richie started making an impression of Arnold Schwarzenegger in an Austrian accent. "Fuck you, asshole", she also imitated, quoting his line from "The Terminator". They both broke out in laughter.

When they got to the arcade, the two of them started playing Street Fighter with Chris playing after Richie. "Holy shit, you're good at this", Richie exclaimed as he watched her play.  "Yeah. It comes from playing Street Fighter with a bunch of kids back in New York", she replied. New York was the last city she lived in before Derry. She played arcade games with a group of kids that lived in the same apartment complex as she did, but unfortunately, she didn't have that much connection with them. After she finished, a gold coin fell out of the machine. "Would you like to go for another round?", Richie turned to her. "I don't know. I think I want to try something different", said Chris. "How about, Donkey Kong?"

"Sure"

She took the gold coin in and held it up. "I can go first", she winked at him before walking over to the arcade machine.

He never met a girl quite like Chris. Most of the girls he knew were only in to girly stuff like wearing skirts and makeup, but he'd never seen a girl that was in to the same type of stuff that he was in to. He stood behind her, but once she turned around, he realized he was standing too close to her. Chris never expected herself to like Richie. She did find him to be quite talkative, Although she was starting to like him, she wasn't sure about getting too attached to him, worried that Derry might yet again be another town that they'll move from.
