   Oh crap, what if I broke my wand like Ron?! NO, THEN I WOULD BE REDUCED TO- 

   To... 

   A girl without magic. That actually doesn't sound too bad, I mean... Hermione does that sometimes- Ugh, but I still need it for classes, though. AND IT COST MONEY. Maybe I could make Harry buy it for me... I mean he's practically rich, but whatever. 

   Would he buy me a new wand if I asked? Hm... MAYBE FOR MY BIRTHDAY!

   OH WAIT.

   THERE IT IS. I found it. All is good. It was in my huge robe pocket... Do you think Hermione put extension charms on these pockets or something? Once I put multiple things in them, I can never find them again...

   But apparently, if I only put in one thing, they will work with me. Weird.

   "Alright, remember. It's a basilisk and will kill you if you look at it. So... don't look at it." Harry instructed. 

   I rolled my eyes, "What if it can't look at me, hm? What if when it looks at me it dies? HUH?"

   "... I wouldn't want to risk that." Harry turned suddenly very serious. 

   What??

   Ron quickly broke the silence before it became too much:

   "Right! Where do we go?" 

   Harry shrugged, moving over to climb onto a ledge that went down into another tunnel thing, walking away from us. 

   "Hey, come back here and explain yourself!" I shouted, jumping up the ledge and running after him. He snickered, running away. Sorry, but bye, Ron.

   "WAIT! Oh my god, Professor, if you don't run faster I will spear you-"

   "I CAN'T, I DON'T HAVE STAMINA! MY YOUTH IS SLOWLY ESCAPING ME-" Hoghart wheezed.

   "Wait, guys, you need to be quiet." Harry stopped suddenly, causing me to run into him.

   "Oof. Why me." 

   "No, okay this is actually a serious matter, you guys. We could actually die- why am I getting deja vu." 

   "Because-"

   "I was being sarcastic, Ron. We're all going to die once again. Hooray." The look Harry gave him was the most unamused thing I've ever seen...

   And I burst out laughing.

   "(y/n)! Wait- oh my god, I see something. What is that?"

   "Nah, you can't get me with some lame excuse like that- oh. Oh." 

   It would appear that there a giant snake. Interesting. Do you think it's sleeping?

   "Is that... skin??" Ron whispered, disgusted. "Ew."

   "Oh my god, that thing is long," Harry muttered, stepping towards it. 

   "I wish I could do that." I thought out loud, only to get some concerned looks. "Do you know how SMOOTH that snake is, probably? All the dead skin, it's gone. Yup, smooth as... A... Uh, Harry. Not." 

   "... I don't know whether I'm supposed to be offended or no-"

   Thud. I spun around at the noise, almost tripping on a rock and falling over. Ron looked very disappointed as he stared at Hoghart, curled up on the floor.
