A dead silence filled the room suffocating both of them, each breath becoming harder to take. The sound of shattering glass broke the silence. The sudden piercing sound causing Namjoon to jolt is head back, almost in fear. His hyung staring at him with blood shot eyes, face unreadable and deadly calm, Namjoon hadn't ever seen his hyung like this, they spent their entire lives together yet never had he seen this side of the older. It terrified him. Taehyung's gaze was fixed on him, he wasn't blinking nor was he moving, Namjoon couldn't form any words they were stuck in his throat, uneven breathing being the result of. Thoughts ran here and there he could hear his 'inner voice' speaking to him, but everything was hazy, he couldn't hear anything, almost as if his consciousness was being taken from him. Bit by bit. It wasn't though, that much he knew.
Taehyung stood up. Namjoon felt his legs giving out.
Taehyung stepped forward. Namjoon Stepped backwards.
Taehyung's energy became harsh. Namjoon felt him self shrinking in his spot.
Taehyung's gaze became ice cold. Namjoon's gaze fell to the ground.
Taehyung spoke up harshly. Namjoon sealed his lips, not making any sound.
"Namjoon..ah"
"I thought you trusted...me..."
His expression stilled. Namjoon did the same.
"After all this time. I showed you so much support, was there for you...You took it for granted? You made fun of my situation? My feelings?"
"HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO ME?! I THOUGHT YOU WOULD HAVE SOME DIGNITY IN YOU...a little bit...maybe just a little bit"
Sobs were heard. Before Namjoon knew it he felt a sting on his cheek.
He was slapped. Taehyung had just slapped him.
"LAUGH! AT LEAST DO SOMETHING TO LET ME KNOW YOU FELT AMUSEMENT BY SEEING ME IN THIS PATHETIC STATE"
"Hyung...no...hyung I am being serious! Believe me! I listened to you and accepted what you had said without any doubt or question! Hyung I beg you do the same for me!"
Namjoon tone was soft and demanding as he let out the words, hand resting over his stinging cheek, cupping it, desperation coating each word let had said.
"Hyung I thought about you why can't you think about me?! Do you have any idea how much distress I was in? I woke up with the scenes playing in my head I rushed to find you I couldn't think straight! Went in your room only to find it empty! DO YO U KNOW HOW SCARED I WAS?!"
Tears finally slipped out of his eyes.
"When I heard...what you...said...what you...saw I broke down in the inside...I didn't know how to react.."
A venomous silence flooded their surroundings. Namjoon couldn't lift up his head to meet the eyes of his brother. A thud was heard. Tae fell on the ground, conscious but limp as if he had just taken his last breath. He curled up against the side of the bed. Silence taking over again.
A few moments passed. Both not daring to say a word. Namjoon wanted to run. Run to where ever his legs would take him, he couldn't stand being here anymore but he couldn't move. Both of them were as still as statues.
A soft "I am s-sor-ry" Tae's voice was as dry as sand paper, Namjoon cringed as he heard him speak.
"I...I was...ov-overwhelmed...I thought you were backing me! The thought of it hurt me so much..I lashed out" Tae tried his best to form proper sentences but the tears spilling out of his eyes and his rough dry voice made it that difficult. Namjoon finally met his brothers gaze. He wish he hadn't tho, the tear stained face his cheeks tainted a painful rose red hue, his eyes swollen and puffy not to mention red with eye bags. He wish he hadn't seen it at all.
More toxic silence. More venomous words.
"H-hey...Joon..." he saw his brother muster up a soft smile though the pain of it all was evident in his eyes. "Maybe...maybe you shouldn't continue this c-case". With those words Namjoon flinched, some sort of emotion flooded through him.
Oh how he wishes he would've listened.
Maybe not listening was for the best.
But as he breathed his last breath.
As his heart beated his last heatbeat.
His last everything was filled with nothing but regret.|𝐒𝐞𝐨-𝐚𝐡|
