Scarlet's point of view

I woke up with the morning sun in my eyes.

I gazed out my window, like I often do.

I walked over to my closet and put on a short blue dress with a lacy back, and a pair of black lace up boots that ended just above the knees.

I let my hair down,it ended at the shoulders,i walked out if my room and into the kitchen to grab an apple, after my quick breakfast I walked out to my front porch.

I gazed at the terrain that spread out in front of me, my gaze fell on the forests horizon and I had an idea.

Not so far from my house there was a giant waterfall on the Amber mountain, it's said in a myth that when dawn comes the falls turn a fiery color that's why it's called Fire Falls.

I made up my mind I would go to the Fire Falls, I climbed down my porch latter and headed to a path that would lead me to the falls.

As I was walking I was thinking if I should invite Phillip along, I decided I would let Phillip tag along.

I took the route to Phillip's house, when I arrived I saw Phillip up in a tree reading he looked up and saw me and got down from the tree.

"Hello Scarlet, what are you doing here" asked Phillip " Hello Phillip ,I came to ask you if you would like to go to the Fire Falls with me?" I asked

He smiled at me with a mischievous grin "okay, let's go" he grabbed my wrist and led me towards a narrow path.

"Where are we going?" I asked with concern in my voice.

"I'm taking a shortcut" he said with a not so reassuring gleam in his eye, "I don't trust your shortcuts.Last time you accidentally led us into a bear den" I retorted

He smirked "I will never forget the look on your face when you saw the bear" he laughed at the thought of me screaming like a little girl.

He stopped and let go of my hand, he exchanged a nervous glance, that's when I got worried.

I looked up and gasped.

Right in front of as was a huge cliff.

"Really?This is why I don't take YOUR shortcuts"i snapped.

He grinned and shrugged "then I guess we'll climb it".

I glared at him "you want us to climb that HUGE cliff,
Without a rope.... Are you crazy?

"Have you ever heard of try new things?"he asked

"I have but usually it won't kill me!"I retorted

I scanned my surroundings, my gaze fell to a path that marched up the cliff it was small and narrow but it would be better than climbing the cliff without a rope.

"We could take that path" I said while pointing at it, I turned to see Phillip looking at the path "Okay, fine" he muttered.

"Okay than let's go!"i said excitedly, we marched up the path that was long and narrow it kept winding around the cliff.

Eventually we found the end of the road It stopped in a clearing ,in the middle was a lake and attached to the lake was the Fire Falls.

I looked at the horizon the sun was setting fast.

I turned and saw Phillip panting like a dog on a hot day, "great now we have to wait for dawn!"i said.

I think Phillip liked that idea because when I said 'wait' he immediately flopped down and took a nap.

I rolled my eyes, I must have liked the idea too because my legs gave out and I found my self laying down and looking up at the stars.

I shut my eyes and slipped into a deep sleep.
