"Captain! Captain!"

Biana turned around on her stool to face her quartermaster.

"What is it, Tam?" She said. "Did something happen?"

"Yes-- well, not yet. The prince and Lady Foster are to be married in a month's time," Tam replied.

She quirked an eyebrow at him. "And this concerns me how, exactly?"

"They're travelling by ship to Atlantis from the castle in Eternalia. Which gives us a perfect opportunity to ambush them and take their gold."

A grin split Biana's face. "That," she said, "is an excellent idea." She stood up, downed the rest of her drink, and strode towards a blonde young man not far away.

"Keefe!" She said.

"How can I help ye, madam?" The navigator responded.

"I need you to draw up all possible routes from Eternalia to Atlantis," Biana told Keefe. "And then decide the most likely one a ship transporting the prince would traverse."

"Very good, Captain, right away," he replied, and started towards the Jewel of the Sea, the ship Biana captained.

The lady pirate turned towards Tam once more, a puzzled expression on her face.

"How, exactly, did you come about this information?" She asked. The location of the prince's marriage ceremony did not seem something the royal family would easily reveal.

"You remember Arlav, yes?" Tam said.

Biana nodded. "Indeed; he's on Fintan's ship, correct?"

"Yes. It was he who informed me. He has connections in the castle, you see, and was able to get the information out of them."

"Perhaps I will have to use those connections more often," she said, humming thoughtfully. "Thank you, Tam. Now, I'm going to go for a swim."

Biana turned and walked down to the shore, kicking off her boots and stripping down to her underclothes before wading into the clear water.

As she came about shoulder-deep, she felt something brush her ankle. Before she had a chance to look down, the head of a young woman broke the surface of the water.

"Hello, Biana," the siren said.

"Ho there, Linh," Biana replied. "Fancy seeing you here."

"Please! You know I know where you go, which happened to be here."

The pirate's lips curled into a small smile. "That I do, Linh. That I do."

"So, what's got you in such a good mood?" Linh asked, splashing Biana lightly with her shimmering tail.

"I've just been informed that the prince will be sailing to Atlantis to be wed in a month."

"And why would that please you? Surely you have no interest in others' romantic affairs."

"You would be correct; I don't give a lick about their marriage. It's their voyage I'm happy about." Biana paused to wring her hair out. "If we can figure out what route they will be taking, then we may be able to take their money."

Linh gasped. "But why would you do that? Don't they need their money?"

"Nah, they won't even miss what we take." She stopped as an idea started forming in her head. "Unless..."

"Unless what? Are you going to take their entire ship?"

Biana chuckled and shook her head. "No, I already have a ship. We're going to take the prince."
