Change (A Purge Fanfiction)

Chapter 1

"George!!" I screeched as I saw his body slump to the ground.

"Shut up" the man in the chrome mask dragging me uttered. He threw me to the ground.

"How much ammo you got." The man in the chrome mask asked his buddy beside him.

"Three" he answered.

"How many more minutes?"

"About a minute"

"Just enough" he sneered as he pointed his pistol at my head and pulled the trigger.

"GEORGE!!" I woke up screaming.

"It's okay January, your okay." He whispered soothingly.

"I had the dream again"

"It's normal this close to the Purge to have nightmares about it. But we've got a good locking system and we are armed."

"How long until it starts?"

"About 9 hours."

"Okay"

"Rest, you need it, the baby needs it too." After those words I drifted into a deep sleep.

I woke up to soothing words.

"Honey? Wake up." George mumbled to me.

"Ya."

"I've already locked up."

"Okay but ...." I was interrupted by the shutters that protect us from those animals rolling up.

"What happened" I asked .

"Crap, the shutters just rolled up!" At the worst timing I heard something that changes people and turns them into animals, the sirens announcing The Purge.

Then I heard the voice "Announcing the commencement of the annual Purge. All crime, including murder is legal for twelve hours, all emergency services will be suspended for all twelve hours, remember all the good The Purge does."

"Quick go shut them!" I screamed.

"Oka......"

*Blink* The powers out.

Then I heard the gunshots and the screams. We just sat there frozen, not knowing what to do. Our locking system doesn't work now.

"Get the guns!" George exclaimed loudly. I ran into the gun room and grabbed three guns and plenty of ammo.

"Oh god" George mumbled quietly. I turned and saw them, the men in the masks. They Purge every year. They were standing in our front lawn with fully automatic guns and molotov's.

The one in the chrome mask shot his shotgun through our front window and threw a Molotov.

This is just a short story experiment. I'm just seeing how it goes.
