Peace and quiet filled a large house as the sounds of food being flipped on a stove was heard. Flipping the bacon strips on a flat pan, Tsukino Ikuko hummed to herself as the calm morning and atmosphere flowed around her.
"It won't be quiet for long, I know that for a fact. Three, two, one--"
"Usagi! Wake up now or we're going to be late!"
The sound of a body falling to the ground didn't bother the mother as two sets of feet running around disrupted the peace and quiet. Making their way down to the dining table where five plates were set, Tsukino Kenji and Tsukino Shingo thanked Ikuko for the food before eating.
Running through the hallways between their room and bathroom, two females screamed when they ran into each other, one with a tooth brush in her mouth with a hairbrush in her hair, while the other was running around with her arms halfway through her top and skirt partly zipped up.
"Himeko! Usagi! Hurry up before the food gets cold!"
Spitting out the toothpaste from her mouth and placing her hairbrush down, a peach-haired teen furrowed her brows as she felt a sudden pain in her chest as she rushed down to the dining room at the call of her name.
"Usagi was kicking me through the night, and when I woke up, all I felt was the soft carpet and all I saw was Usagi's foot in my face." Himeko apologized as she sat next to her younger brother, Shingo, the minty taste still in her mouth as she ate.
"I'm not sure why you and your sister are so adamant in sleeping the same bed. You two are teenagers, but you like to share a room and everything. We still have a spare room if any of you want to move right away." Right as Kenji finished speaking, the sound of glass breaking was the only thing heard until a small yelp followed after, a blonde coming down the stairs soon after.
"Maybe it's because we're twins and we have a special bond. I don't think it's weird that we share the same bed. I feel warmer at night anyways with Usagi next to me, but she keeps kicking me."
Taking a napkin, the eldest Tsukino wiped a smear of food off her brother's face as he stared at her with adoration, "Thank you, Onee-chan! You're so smart and caring! I wish that other one followed you . . . "
Perking up her ears, the second eldest Tsukino frowned as she ran past the living room.
"You know I have ears, Shingo. You shouldn't be talking about your older sister like that!" The younger blond stuck his tongue out before feeling a small stinging sensation on the top of his head.
"You should be nice to Usagi. I'm won't always be wiping off the messy sauce off your face."
Placing the dirty napkin in the garbage, the eldest child shrugged her brother's hair before thanking their mother for the meal. Packing her lunch and school work in the bag, she waited for her younger sister at the door before the two of them ran out of the house.
"I'm so sleepy. Why can't today be Saturday?" Usagi complained as the two sisters continued running down the sidewalk.
"Same here. All I want to do is eat, sleep, and keep playing games--"
"Hold still! I want to feel it's tongue!"
The sound of children shouting made its way to the girls ears as they found two boys surrounding two cats, one midnight blue and the other a light copper.
"Hey, stop it! Leave those cats alone!" Usagi yelled at the kids as Himeko kneeled down in front of the cats, gently rubbing their backs to calm them down. Peeling off a band-aids on their foreheads, her eyes widened as she stared at the gold moon crescents their foreheads.
