The Silver Millennium.
It was a great and prosperous time for those living on The Moon Kingdom, and when I say The Moon, I truly mean The Moon that we see every night, adorning and lightning up our dark sky.
Ruling over the great land with grace, prosperity and power, Queen Serenity guarded the two most precious people in her life with the highest level of security: Her twin daughters, Princess Serenity and Princess Serena.
The two girls were always seen with each other, stuck at the hand and never apart from each other. The connection the twins have run so deep that they dare not leave the other's side even in their sleep.
As the eldest and carrying the Royal name, Serenity would always try to be a prime example to Serena when the youngest would act out of order, though all her attempts failed because the twins were alike in many ways, sharing the same outgoing personality and same struggles of attention. The youngest Princess would always follow her older twin, even when she wasn't supposed to.
Falling in love was something Princess Serenity never imaging happening to herself due to her busy life as the next-in-line for the throne, but when her eyes met those of Prince Endymion of the Planet Earth, ever fiber in her body jolted at the sight, immediately falling for him as he fell for her.
On the other hand, Princess Serena met the gaze of Prince Thorian, third in line for the Earth Kingdom throne, the sight they shared wasn't one of love exactly, but pure rivalry. May it be that they were both the youngest siblings of the Serenity and Endymion, but it was it was just something that ticked the two off about each other, and since that day, they have been at each other's throats.
Even though the love between them blossomed and grew into one of deep romance, the two star-crossed lovers knew that what they shared was impossible to last, for it was against their Kingdoms Laws for people of The Moon and Earth to have relations.
"How is it that you love me? A Princess who can't focus on her work, finds herself always distracted and cannot pay attention even for a moment--"
"You being yourself makes me love you even more, Serenity." Their bodies twirled around the balcony while soft music played below, "You being yourself is the best thing possible. Being there for each other is what we both need. This love is what we need."
"This love cannot last, Endymion. The Laws and the people are against each other, and if knowledge of us being together, then we shall--" Serenity's head was softly pressed into her lover's chest as he hugged her tightly.
"Nothing will happen to us, my love. Even though the Laws stand between us, how can being in love with someone illegal? This is no taboo, but apart of life. If it is a sin to be in love, then they may shun me away. As long as I have you by my side, then I can live on for the next years to come."
This time of splendor and peace was suddenly cut short due to the arrival of Metalia and the power of the Negaverse.
Pelted on Planet Earth first, Metalia found the perfect vessel to control- a heartbroken sorceress, Beryl. Having fallen in love with Prince Endymion, the red-haired woman found her heart shattered after learning about the secret romance the Prince shared with Princess Serenity and vowed to seek revenge on the woman from The Moon. Finding the darkest heart and perfect puppet for her scheme, Metalia twisted the sorceress' heart and commanded the newly-turned Queen Beryl to lead her battle.
This was the start of a turning point in history -- The Great War between The Moon and Earth.
First, the people of Earth were brainwashed into doing her will, which grew into a larger threat for the nearby Moon and neighboring Kingdoms. Metalia brought the destruction of the Planet before moving her sights up.
