Eiyu is completely oblivious to everything around him, still caressing his wife's silk dark hair one last time as the whispers become jumbled arguments amongst themselves. A group starts forming outside the door, watching in awe as their greatest hero is broken, after countless years and operations. The fires and metal creaking fill the silence and a falling beam snap the group out of the trance. The whispers stop and Eiyu rises to his feet, carrying his wife to the frigate they arrived on. None dared to speak a word.

Once aboard, he carried her to his quarters and layed her on the bed. The Ashigaru from before walked into the room to be met with Eiyu on his knees before the bed, head on her belly and clutching her now limp hand. He felt a sudden emptiness before interjecting.

"Sir, we have no idea where to go fro-"

"Hold..."

"Sir?"

"She speaks."

"Daimyo, your wife... She's-"

"Not her."

"Eiyu, you were told not to go into the field. Look where it-"

Eiyu quickly rips the necklace from his wife, it's gold and blue contrast seem otherworldly and it's shine is still apparent, even soaked in blood.

"It was a gift i gave to her on our twentieth anniversary. A flower on a shield."

"It's beautiful. But, you really should see the-"

"The sun. Get me closer."

"To the sun? What for?"

"She said i must. The whispers."

"Sir..."

"Please."

The Ashigaru nods then tells the navigator to set course for the sun. Eiyu links the necklace to his belt after cleaning it, then takes the body to the airlock. The whispers get stronger as they near the sun, almost a shouting tone. He holds the body and a bar as the airlock opens, the sun coming into view. His visor prevents any damage as he releases the bar and floats with her toward the sun. They're a fourth of the way past before the crew realizes Eiyu went with her. He hears the whispers clearly, nearing the glow, the heat enveloping him.

"This will be your castle, the shine will forge your path. Here you meet your family, son of the sword. Here you become what you truly are. Legend born of steel and blood. But you are made of flesh and faith.

Here you become war."
