We walked into a small cafe on the highway. River and Rory were talking about something.

"Guys, he's dead" Amy said turning to them.

"Hey, he planned this to the last detail" River told us.

A door behind her opened and a man walked through it, a man with brown floppy hair, suspenders, and a bow tie.

He spotted us and his face lit up.

"This is cold, even by your standards this is cold" River said.

"Or, Hello, as people used to say"

"Tell Azzy what age you are"

"That's a bit personal"

"Tell her! Tell her what age you are"

"909" He replied.

"So, why are we all here?" They all turned to me. Looks like I'll have to explain.

"Something to do with space, 1969 and a man called Canton Everett Delware the third" I explained carefully.

"Canton Everett Delaware the third! Who is he?" The Doctor said twiddling buttons.

"Who wants to know?" Canton asked the men standing behind him.
"Your boss" One of then men replied.
"I don't have a boss anymore"
"Maybe you want to tell that to the president of the United States."

"Ex FBI. Got kicked out." River said.

"Why?" The Doctor asked

"I understand you have a problem with authority" The President was telling Canton over the phone.
They were driving through the bussling city.
"Thank you"
"That's not a compliment son"

"Six weeks after he left the Bureau, the President contacted him for a private meeting" River read of the scanner.

"Yeah, 1969. Who's President?" The Doctor asked us.

"This is a personal matter" The President told him. "I need someone on the outside, someone with FBI training, but who's not in contact with them"
"I'm flattered" Canton said looking out the window.
"You were my second choice for this Mr Delaware" The president told Canton over phone.
"Thats ok, you were my second choice for president, Mr Nixon" Canton replied smirking to himself.

"Richard Millhouse Nixon. Vietnam, Watergate. There's some good stuff too" River said.

"Not enough" The Doctor said roughly.

"Hippie!" River exclaimed.

"Archaeologist" He replied smirking.

"Everyday, wherever I am, I get a phone call" The President was telling Mr Delaware.
They were currently in the oval office discussing this 'personal matter'.
"People can't just call you, Mr President"
"Its a direct call everytime. Everyday for the last two weeks, usually late at night."
"Man or woman?"
"Neither"
President Nixon reached over to the phone recorder and pressed play.

"Okay, since I don't know what I'm getting into this time, for once, I'm being discreet, putting the engines on silent" The Doctor said, flicking a lever.

It emitted a horrible noise before River went over to it and flicked it again.

"Did you do something?" The Doctor asked popping his head around from the time rotor.

"No, just watching" She said.

He looked at us all suspiciously but shrugged it off.

"Putting the outer shell on "invisible". Haven't done this in a while. Big drain on the power." He said pulling a different lever down.

"You can turn the Tardis invisible?" Rory asked.

"Ha!"

Bright lights suddenly came on.

"Very nearly" River told us, pulling the lever back down.

"Uh, did you touch something?" The Doctor asked River.

"No, just admiring your skills sweetie" She replied.

"Good. You might learn something, okay" He said.

"Now, I can't check the scanner, it doesn't work when we're cloaked. Um.." He trailed off. "Just give us mo'."

He ran towards the doors and we turned around to follow him.

"Whoa! Whoa, whoa, whoa. You lot, wait a moment" He said. "We're in the most powerful city in the most powerful country on Earth. Lets take it slow"

He opened the door and stepped outside.
