'Are you ready?'

'Just a moment', I answer in response.

'You clean up good', Soni tells me. Considering what I saw of myself in the mirror, the compliment is meant well. 'It's just the clothes', I smile.

We finally leave the huge room and she takes me down a long staircase to the ground floor. The whole place is so beautiful; it takes me a while to register it. What I can see is a big hall, almost twice the size of the room I was in. The furniture looks expensive. Walking quickly, that is all I can list!

Strangely, I cannot see any people around. That is definitely weird keeping the space of the house in mind. I try to stop my mind from thinking, but it just keeps wanting to! 'This is the hall and we will join Madam in the dining room for breakfast', Soni tells me. My stomach is already growling, some food is most welcome.

We continue walking to the left of the hall and into a glass door. What I see next stuns me. The dining room looks as if it belongs to another era. The huge wooden table, the lantern-like lights, and the golden gleam of the sunlight, just beautiful! There are real flowers in the room. How beautiful they look. I forget all my nervousness around such beauty.

'Have a seat. I will go and check inside', Soni tells me as she walks towards the kitchen. 'May I ask your name?', she halts and puts up the dreaded question. I try to think of names as quickly as possible. There is a name on the table nearby. 'Amara, my name is Amara', goes my reply with a nervous smile. I hope she is convinced; I clearly am not!
