What If?

Sean took a deep breath and rung the doorbell. He heard footsteps coming down and hall. The door opened. 'Sean? I didn't know you were coming...' Kaycee said, looking confused.

Sean stuck his hands deeper into his pockets. He rocked back and forth on his heels.

'Sean? Are you okay?' Kaycee asked, looking worried.

Taking another deep breath, he said 'Kaycee we need to talk.'

'Uh sure'. Kaycee turned around and went back the way she came. Sean followed her up to her room where she sat on the bed. When Sean awkwardly stood in the middle of the room, Kaycee knew something was definitely up. He never behaved that awkwardly in front of her.

'Kaycee... There's no easy way to say this but I'm in love with you. I know that after this things may never be the same with us ever again but I just had to tell you. '

'Sean I...'

'Kaycee please let me finish.' He begged , a tear rolling down his cheek.

'You're my light. The air that I breathe. My whole world. Your smile makes rainbows and that brightens up my day. I don't know what I'd do without you. I know that you don't feel the same way and I get it if you want to dance with someone else and there won't be any hard feelings.' He finished up, tears glistening in his eyes.

Sean grabbed his bag from where he left it, next to the door of her room before stepping out.

Suddenly he felt a small hand grab his. He spun around and was met by a pair of golden brown eyes , shining with tears.

Kaycee closed the distance between them. She tip toed and placing her hands around his neck , kissed him.

Sean's eyes widened and before he knew it he was kissing her back , tangling his hands in her curls just as he'd dreamt of doing for so long.

Breaking the kiss for air, their chests heaved as they rested their foreheads against each other's.

'What if I told you I felt the same way?' Kaycee whispered looking into Sean's eyes.
'Well , I guess I'll be allowed to do this then.' He smiled cheekily and leaning down , captured her perfect pink lips in another kiss.
