At the beginning there was nothing, nothing but a void, nothing but darkness. The dark empty void enveloped my vision. Then suddenly the darkness that encompassed my vision started to fill with light.

I slowly started to move my body, trying to get closer towards the light. I kept moving trying to grasp the light with my right arm. Then light enveloped my vision.

I opened my eyes and it took a few seconds for my eyes to readjust. I looked around and noticed that I was in a dark and lifeless canyon. There were injectors all around me. Some where in the ground, others where on the sides of the canyon.

I then got this feeling that I should look down. And I did just that, I looked down towards my feet, and saw that I was not alone. There were multiple different Gems all around me. I saw many of the Gems varied in size, color and appearance.

My eyes first landed upon a small purple Amethyst, a slim white Pearl, a small green Peridot, a tall slim Lapis Lazuli, a huge muscular Bismuth, and what I guessed was a fusion. However my eyes where mainly focused on the seventh member. He possessed a Quartz gem, but at the same time I could sense that he wasn't completely Gem.

I then turned my head towards the other Gems. There was a tall and buff orange Jasper with red markings all over her body, I saw a tiny light blue Aquamarine, I saw a group of five Rubies with their gems in different areas on their bodies, and I saw two tall buff Yellow Topazes. They were all doing the diamond salute and sweating profusely.

I wondered why until I looked down at my chest. On my chest I saw a big red diamond. I slowly lifted my head, looking towards the Gems that were obviously from Homeworld. I looked from them towards the other unidentified Gems.

"What is going on here" where my first words. They came out harsher than what I had intended. "My diamond we were just trying to capture these traitors" spoke one of the Rubies. I turned my head towards the Ruby that had spoke.

I noticed that the Ruby was shaking obviously nervous and probably afraid. "What traitors" I asked generally confused. "Them" said one of the Topazes. I looked over at the Topaz, and realized that just like the ruby she was shaking and probably with fear.

I looked over at the other group of Gems that Topaz had pointed to. I looked at them for a long time. I could practically feel the tension in the air. My eyes traveled from one of them to the next. My eyes finally stopped on the mysterious Gem boy.

I slowly turned my head from them to look at the other Gems. "I don't see any traitors, all I see are Gems" I replied. After saying this I noticed that they all had shocked looks on their faces.

Before I could ask why, I noticed that some rocks began to fall from the walls of the lifeless canyon. I looked up and saw that one of the injectors was about to fall on the strange group of Gems. It eventually came loose and began to fall down to Earth.

I didn't have time to warn them, and they obviously didn't notice the injector heading right towards them. I quickly shot my hand out, ignoring the Gems as they got ready to attack, and quickly caught the injector before it crushed the small Gem and his allies.

After I caught the injector I tossed it away from me and the other Gems. "STEVEN" cried the Pearl as she ran and hugged the Gem I Now know as Steven. It didn't take long for the other Gems (beside those from Homeworld) to crowd around Steven to make sure he was not hurt.

I kneeled down to get a better look at this Steven. "Are you alright little one" I asked with concern. "Oh I'm fine, you didn't have to do that" he said while rubbing the back of his head, a sheepish look on his face. "But you would have been poofed or worse if I didn't intervene" I said still concerned for his wellbeing. "No look see I would have been fine" he says. He then shows me this pink bubble that surrounds him. "See with this I wouldn't have been harmed" he says, he then begins to explain his bubble to me.

"Oh I see, but I still would have intervened" I said with confidence. "Why" he asked me with a confused look on his face. "What do you mean" I asked now confused. "I'm a Crystal Gem, why would you save me" he elaborated. "I don't care what group you belong to your still a Gem, and I won't let anything like that happen to others be they Gem or not" I explained with a hard tone.

I looked around me to notice that all of the Gems around me were shocked again. "I don't mean to trouble you, but do you by chance know of a place where I could rest and relax" I asked Steven. "Yeah come with me" he said as he led me over to the warp pad.

"But my diamond they are traitors they must be- ENOUGH as long as I am here you shall not harm these Gems in any way, shape, or form is that clear" I cut of the Jasper. I sent her a glare to show her how serious I was. "Yes my diamond" chorused the Homeworld Gems, although reluctantly.

We all began to make our way towards the warp pad, although Stevens allies still watched me, making sure that I would not harm him, to make sure he was safe. "Where are we going exactly" I asked Steven. "We are going to the temple" he said excitedly. I stopped at the warp pad and ushered the other Gems onto the pad. They teleported away presumably to this temple.

I shut my eyes and felt the area for Steven's aura. Once I found it I immediately began to focus on his aura.

'These sure are some interesting Gems, I wonder if they would teach me more about this strange yet beautiful colony of theirs' I thought as I locked on to Steven's exact location, then I left.

It seems that a new Gem has emerged on

Earth.

Who would have thought a Diamond could

pop out of the ground.

Now that the new Diamond has emerged

what awaits our favorite Gem and his

friends?

I wonder how his life will be now with new

Gems by his side.
