After the first day at the room on the 3rd floor, I continued to come at lunch and after soccer practice.

The awkward air from the first time meeting Theo evaporated and was replaced with his snarky responses to everything that we said. Sometimes I would come in when Rubin was with a "customer" and I would get kicked out because the person wouldn't stop staring at me. And now, sitting in class, before lunch, I was ready to run out, get my lunch and go to see Rubin.

"Dude! Snap out of it." I blinked and looked over to the desk to my left, where Danny sat. He looked at me worried.

"Where have you been recently. You don't sit with us at lunch and you don't hang out after practice anymore. What have you been doing?" He asked and I shrugged.

"Found something to do." I said. Then, Danny grinned slyly and smirked.

"And would any of this have to do with my sister?" He asked. I gave him a questioning look. He rolled his eyes at my cluelessness. "Rubin." He stated and I looked at him surprised.

"She's your sister?" I asked surprised. He nodded and I thought long and hard. They did share many features. Eyes, hair, and smirk.

"Yeah, she's my twin even." He said and I was surprised.

"But, when I went over to your place, I never saw her." I said,  confused. He rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, cause she's always at her little hide out doing her weird hobby thing." He said and I was still confused.

"But, when I slept over, I never saw her." I said, trying harder to reason with his reasons. He sighed and shrugged.

"She likes to be at her friend's. You know, Thomas or whatever. Other then that, she stays at her hide out. She doesn't like to be home too much." He said, looking sad at this and then smirked again. "Don't tell me, you have the hots for my sister." I looked him surprised.

"Dude, really?" I asked rhetorically. He just smirked wider, and I put my hands up in mock surrender. "I met her a while back, and she is cool, so I hang out with her. Not crushing on your sister." He shrugged and smirked.

"We'll see what your saying in a week." He said playfully. After that, the bell rung and we left to the cafeteria. Before I could leave to go up to Rubin's room, Danny grabbed my arm, and smiled.

"Let's go together." He said. We walked up the stairs and I questioned him.

"Don't you see her at home?" I asked. He shook his head.

"The last time I saw her was about 4 days ago. Like I said, she doesn't like to stay home too much." Hearing this, I was worried. How did her parents react? Being away for that long. We went into the classroom, and Rubin looked up from the teacher's desk that she stood by with Theo. They nodded off what they were doing and put away the paper. I had gotten use to this action by now. Danny grinned at his sister and waved.

"Sup sis. When are you coming home?" He said, happily. Rubin shrugged, stuffing the last papers into the drawer.

"Maybe when mom has left for her business trip." She said, with no sight of care. Danny pouted.

"But, you have to come to the gala. Mom and dad's orders." Danny stated. She looked at Danny confused.

"I never received that message." She said. Theo handed her a phone. It had a red tribal pattern on it, and the screen was blank.

"You haven't charged your phone for the past two days." Theo said. She then looked at the phone in realization.

"Right." She said, taking the phone and put it into charge. She then looked at Danny.

"Mind if I bring Leo with me?" She asked Danny. He smirked at me and nodded.

"Sure. Since he is already your boyfriend." Danny said coyly. She hit him over the head, and glared. Danny just laughed it off.

After practice, I headed up to the room, and found Rubin by herself, watching a movie from a Inter Write board that had been there from years past. She watched a movie in some other language. And after getting closer, I could see she was crying. I sat next to her slowly and she looked at me in surprise. She paused her movie and wiped her eyes.

"Sorry. Sad movie." She said, a little choked. I nodded and looked at the screen.

"What's it called?" I asked. She checked the name.

"Secretly Greatly. It's Korean, but I'm watching it with subtitles. Let me just finish watching it. It's nearly over anyway." She said. I nodded and she unpaused the movie. I sat myself more comfortable on the coach, and ended up with her hugging my arm. After a second, I became stiff. But, she squeezed my hand, and watched the movie with all seriousness. I relaxed, and sat back. And slowly, I fell asleep.

---

When I woke up, outside was dark and the movie was over. I looked to my side, and saw that Rubin was asleep. Still holding on to my arm. After a moment of just watching her asleep face, I pulled my arm from her grasp. I gently lied her down, and went to her closet that she pulled the couch out of and found it was more of another room all together. There was folded clothes, blankets and pillows, and many other things.

I grabbed a pillow and blanket for her and went back out to her. I slipped the pillow under her head and put the blanket on top of her, and she snuggled into it. Watching her, it made me smile. Not in  a creepy way. But, it made me feel warm inside. God, I sounded like some kind of love sick puppy. After a few minutes, I collected my things, and started to head out. But, being a clumsy person, that a big guy I am, I knocked something off a counter, and Rubin shot up. She rubbed her eyes, and looked at me sleepily.

"Leo? What time is it?" Her voice was husky from sleep. I checked my phone and saw that it was already 7 pm.

"7." She nodded, and got up, stretching.

"What to come with me to get something to eat?" She asked, getting up and rubbing her eyes. I nodded and waited for her as she put on her shoes and jacket, then we both headed out of the school, and to the mall. We ordered some Chinese and sat at a table.

"So, do you have a suit?" She asked me. I looked at her, and shook my head.

"Nope. I have one, but that was from like, 5 years ago." I said. She nodded and poked her food.

"Then we should come here tomorrow and get the things we have to get for the gala." She said, looking around for a store. I nodded and then asked her the question that I had been meaning to ask since she asked me to come.

"Why aren't you going with Theo?" I asked. She smiled and pointed at me.

"Cause, unlike you, he has a stable girlfriend. And they are already invited to come, with his family. I asked you to come, because I couldn't think of anyone else that I know to come with me." She said. I nodded it off and we finished to eat.
