Chapter 4: The Phantom thieves begin their journey

Y/n PoV

I look down at my phone and notice the Metaverse app, and once again I delete it, or so I thought, but instead, I opened the app, and slid my phone inside my pocket as me, Rias, Rayn and Ryuji walked to school, when Ryuji brought up issei's recent actions.

"Issei Hyoudou, you guys know him?" Ryuji asks, his tone almost visibly dripping with hate, amusing me slightly.

"Yeah, I know the kid, you sound like you despise him" I chuckle, looking at Ryuji as he growls in confirmation that he despises Issei.

"He thinks he's some sort of 'Harem King' Whatever the fuck that is" Ryuji scoffs, making fun off isseis dreams, when I realize we're going to be late.

"As much as I want to continue the conversation, I need to get Rayn to the student council so she can be enrolled into Kuoh Academy officially" I tell the others this, and we all start jogging to school, slowing to a walk as Me and Rayn separate from Ryuji and Rias, who was reluctant to go until Y/n promised to take her on a date.

"Man, she can be cute when she wants to, but more often than not, she's stubborn as hell" I remark, earning a giggle from Rayn as we walk to the student council office, and enroll her into Kuoh Academy. Once Rayn is enrolled, the student council tells me that she can attend class with me today, so she can learn how to navigate the school now rather than get lost later.

Walking into class, Rayn shuffles closer to me once the lecherous eyes of every male in the room, lock onto her, and immediately, Issei has something to say once he sees me with her.

"Yo! Y/n, when the hell did you get a hot babe like her to be your friend?" Issei frowns, disappointed with what he sees. "umm, yesterday I believe?" I look back to rayn, who nods. "yeah, yesterday since she was... lost and appeared at my door because someone gave her the wrong address"

"That sounds like she must've been disappointed when she saw you after you opened the door" issei snickers, along with his two perverted friends. My eyes widen once I feel someone's anger spike dangerously when she hears issei slandering me just because she's my friend.

"What's so bad about Y/n that makes it so im not allowed to be his friend?" Rayn spat, her words venomous and furious. As a response, issei dons his signature pervy smile.

"Well, if you must know, I'm going to be the Harem King, and he'll be nothing but a peasant that is only good for being kicked around and being told what to do" Issei laughs, getting closer to Rayn as his perverted grin grows once he notices Rayns chest size. "And since that's the case, you belong to me from here on out, you underst-" Issei wasn't able to finish his speech when my fist flew into his cheek, extremely hard.

"Why don't you shut the fuck up Issei, your view on women disgusts me, and most likely every female in the school, so why don't you crawl back home and give up on this dream of yours" I spat, furious with issei since he thought he could order Rayn to be his toy. I'm sick and fucking tired of men thinking women are objects to use as they fucking please. My emotions must be evident because Rayn rests her hand on my shoulder, causing me to turn and look at them. "Sorry Rayn... the way men like him talk about women, pisses me off beyond belief" Hearing Issei's laughter makes me growl, and grab his shirt to hit him again. "What's so funny, Shit stain? Finally realize how ridiculous your dream is?" I growl at him, pulling my fist back to make him grit his teeth once I hit him.
