The ripped the necklace off my neck and hid it in the dirt of the storage room. Nobody can know about this I could definitely be sent off , imprisoned or even worse beheaded executed someway.I suddenly felt scared to be alone, what if he tells people about this? But is he really that cruel.
Why would he want to bring something up from 4 years ago.
The reason his father didn't recognize me is due to my puberty changing my face, and my hair has become longer. No I can't think of what happened I would definitely be exiled.
The more standoffish I act the more suspicious I would be to them, I need to act normally.I laid down trying to close my eyes to sleep off this weird feeling, my heartbeat became slower and I drifted off.
The darkness of the night surrounded the palace village, Hyunjin returned to this vicinity sitting down thinking.
His hand gripped the necklace hidden under his attire, his clenched hand felt a sense of sadness mixed with anger.
He began to wonder her motive for coming here , was it really a coincidence or a mere purposeful journey? He started to recall some of the Memories from four years ago.
- four years ago at the royale palace-
"King Jean your guests have arrived all the way from Joseon with his son." The guard spoke as they walked forward bowing to greet him.
"I suspect you had a safe journey here?" Jean speaks, They nod.
"You have brought your son? Surely he can go explore or whatever he pleases while we talk business for some days here." He motions for Hyunjin to go away.
Hyunjin nods and the guard begins to show him around the palace.Meanwhile Jean and The king were explaining business terms, Hyunjin was too busy observing that he lost the guard losing his way.
He began wondering Aimlessly in the palace and wound up in a hallway with many doors. His hand turned a door knob followed by a young girls scream seeing such a different face. He fell to the floor in shock from the piercing yell.
"Who are you?!" She yelled in a language he didn't understand.
"I asked you a question!" She says again frustrated walking toward him. He backs up his back to the hallway wall. Her eyebrows relaxed as she notices the boy was clearly from another country not of her own.
"You must be the ones father talked of, it's awefully brave of you coming in a princesses room." She stands with her hands on her hips bending down to face him.His eyes darted around helplessly.
"Are you lost?" She Asks standing up exchanging a hand.
"D- don't get the wrong idea! I'm just being nice." She helps him up to his feet, he brushes off his hands.
"Here I'll show you something." She grabs his wrist dragging him to the library of her father.
She pushes open the large door to reveal stacks of hundreds of books. The boys mouth drops down taking in all the books he's seeing.
"If I remember correctly , Father said Joseon." She scans her eyes over books and pulls one off the shelf.
She opens it and points to the photos and writings in the foreign language.
The boy nods.
"Oh you're from here." She nods, while reading the boy finds another book opening it.
