The day had already been too long according to Hank. This case on the anti-android group had gone dry a few days ago, which worried Hank. They could be up to anything and he has absolutely no idea what. His thoughts were immediately interrupted when a similar grey suit came into view at the desk across from his. "still nothing new lieutenant" Connor the semi- adapted to deviant life android sighed in defeat as he sat in his chair. The second his synthetic butt hit the seat, as if almost on cue Y/HC hair came swinging into view. Y/N made her way over to their desks, "hey Kiddo how was school?" the high-school student dropped her book bag to the floor with a thud, "it was alright, I woke up early enough to see dad before I left the house, he was helping out with the last few boxes heading to the storage unit." she explained as she leaned against his desk. "yeah the last box of your stuff was dropped off at my place last night." Hank said turning in his chair towards Y/N. Y/N simply nodded as she swung her foot back and forth, while Connor stared in confusion, "-oh, Connor this is my niece Y/N, Y/N this is Connor, my partner." Connor stood up to shake the teenager's hand, "My name is Connor, I'm the android sent by Cyber-" Connor stopped quickly before he could finish, glancing over to Hank, he kept forgetting that he didn't have to say that anymore. Even after a whole year he still struggled with that. "Nice to meet you Connor." Y/N gave him a reassuring smile. "Connor, Y/N is gonna be living with me, her father, my brother, is in the military and he was shipped across the ocean today and he is gonna be there for a long time." Hank explained. He then turned his computer off, threw on his coat, and grabbed Y/N's book bag, "why don't we head back to my place then, nothing is happening here anyways." Hank headed towards the door with his niece right by his side and Connor close behind.
It was cool outside, red and yellow leaves Sprinkled the sidewalk, and cars driving by a bit faster than they should have, but not fast enough for Hank to care. Hanks car was parked on the side of the road in front of the precinct. Y/N made her way in the back, Connor in the passenger seat, and Hank in the driver's seat. The whole car trip was filled with Y/N talking about her school day. Eventually Hank started to slow down and came to a stop in front of a newer looking apartment building.
once it was declared that androids were another form of intelligent life more apartments and houses started popping up all over to country. The one that Hank had pulled up to was brick with a black lining around the windows and grey edging on the top and bottom of the building. It sort of stool out like a sore thumb compared to the other buildings in the area. "See you in the morning." Hank said putting the car in park. "Yes, I will see you in the morning Lieutenant, and it was very nice to meet you Y/N." Connor said as he stepped out of the car. Y/N waved goodbye as Connor shut the door and walked away. "Alrighty kiddo lets go home." Hank said pulling away. Little did either of them know that next week would end with a bang.*sorry this chapter is pretty slow and short, but it's just a short introduction, the next couple of chapters will be much more interesting, pinky swear ;) *
