Second to last chapter - Memories

In the mist of magic that made up the Multiversal NEXUS, Error and Blue stood. Blue's form wavered slightly, and slowly he began to fade.

"Blue! Blue, are you okay?"

"Nope, but the magnificent Sans shouldn't be who you're worrying about. It's your job... to... SAVE... us..."

"Blue! What do you mean, SAVE?"

"I... I don't have... much time... but Error... promise me... no matter what... you will stay determined..."

Blue faded out entirely, and Error whimpered slightly, although he'd never admit it. He was alone, in a place that resonated with magic that he didn't recognize, all his friends, new and old, had disappeared... it was TERRIFYING.

'You're never alone, my friend. Just STAY DETERMINED!' said a voice that sounded like SS!Chara.

"Chara? Was that you? Where are you?" Error said, spinning around in hopes of finding her.

'We can't come to you. But know this... if you just stay Determined, you can do it. You're the one with the power to SAVE him,' whispered Geno's voice.

"BUT WHAT IS THAT?!"

All Error received in response to his outburst was the faintest of tunes, echoing through the mist. It was a haunting melody, one that he recognized deep in his SOUL from long ago. It unlocked memories long forgotten and hidden from view...

*cue memory/his theme*

A voice from behind was yelling cheerfully, "Come on Thread! Don't be such a lazybones!"

"I'm coming, I'm coming, ya squid!"

"I am NOT a squid!"

"Eh, ya sure about that? You definitely seem like one, always getting ink everywhere!"

The other whimpered unhappily. "Meanie..."

"Heh. You know I care about you, ya silly lil inkblot."

"Yeah, I do! Now come on, Quill and Needle are waiting for us!"

"Okay, I'm almost there! I got stuck in the stupid bushes."

"Bro, Thread, ya comin?" called a new voice that sounded like Quill.

"What... what does that mean? Did... Did I know Quill before? And I swear I know that other voice from somewhere..."

"We're almost there Quill! Thread got stuck, sorry for taking so long."

"Heh, it's not me you should be apologizing to. Needle's been waiting for his bro, and he has very little patience, he's only ten after all."

"Sorry bro. I got my scarf caught on a thorn bush." said the memory, holding out a... blue and black scarf with a rip in it... a newer version of the one he wore now.

"Just gimme some yarn and I'll fix it for you," said a younger version of Needle with a happy, carefree smile.

Quill began to hum a tune quietly as the quartet continued through the colorful, sunny forest.

The memory slowly began to fade away, but the tune continued, winding through Error's mind and weakening the block on his memories.

Then there was a brilliantly white flash of light, and Error was sucked into a battle.
