D'Andre Nelson Harris
"Nigga didn't I tell you to set your alarm." I jumped up and looked around the room seeing Samir was by my side of the bed holding up my phone. "I ain't gone be able to wake you up all the time."
I rubbed my eyes trying to calm down that he just woke me up like that.
"What's wrong Dee?"
"N-nothing." I mumbled finally calming down after drinking some water.
"Dee..." Samir said in a more alarming tone. "What the fuck is wrong with you."
"It's just when we was homeless people used to fuck with us a lot. Somebody woke us up by yelling at us and than started beating our ass." I explained making Samir shake his head.
"I ain't gone stop yelling, but nobody is gonna wake yo ass up here and start beating your ass." Samir said putting my phone down.
"I m-mean I know...fuck!" I said as I accidentally bit down on my tighten braces.
"Language nigga." He said smacking the back of my head. "Look, I ain't gone say your safe, but you're protected if that makes sense. Ain't nobody gone hurt you, I won't allow them to alright. I got you and Darius, so ease up D'Andre."
I nodded slowly, "Alright, but I'm in my boxers so could you like..."
"Oh shit my bad, hurry up school starts at 8:35." Samir said walking out the room. "You gotta be in the front of house to catch the bus at 8:13."
I jumped up seeing it was 7:25, like why the fuck would he wake me up this damn late. I took a 35 minute shower including my personal hygiene than ran back in my room. I grabbed my white Nike shirt that had 5 strikes on them with Kobe Bryant on them. I put my ripped light washed true religion blue jeans on with my white undefeated 97 air maxes. I picked out my hair than rubbed vaseline on my face to give it a little shine.
"Ten minutes!" Samir yelled knocking and kicking my door.
"Okay damn." I mumbled getting my red MCM backpack together. I grabbed my charger, phone, and headphones than was out the door.
It felt good to be able to wear these type of things again. I felt like new money.
Darius walked out his room with a big ass smile on his face. He kept it simple but styled today. He had on his Oatmeal color True religion sweatpants with a white True religion shirt. His all white air force ones wit a couple of gold chains and his rolex watch.
"How I look?" Darius asked giving me a little spin making me laugh. "Damn man I missed showing off my swag. It feel good not wearing some busted ass converse, with a ripped up dirty ass hoodie and some ripped up drawls and jeans.
I chuckled nodding because it does feel good, but I did everything I did to make us survive, "Thanks bro." Darius said catching me off guard. "For everything you did these past years."
