The party was resting soundly. Everyone had been tucked in and all that could be heard were the soft snores of other party members.
In one of the beds there were two figures. One had soft black hair and pointy ears, freckles sprinkled all over his cheeks and on the bridge of his nose. Dusted around his eyes was a mask of black, it was one of the young wood-elf's most defining features.
The other had thick brown hair and tanned skin, bangs draped over one eye. He was muscular and had managed to knock off the wall of the pillows the two had set up prior. (Paddy insisted on it.)Malark had flipped over from his back to his side and reached towards Paddy's general direction. The wood-elf's hand was resting just on top of the covers.
He had held it softly, taking care so he wouldn't wake him up...
Before gently tossing it over Paddy's chest and pulling the covers over himself. He sighed quietly as he made himself comfortable once more.
It didn't take long for Paddy to shiver slightly and wrap his arms around himself. He reached his hand out for the blanket but it wasn't in reach. Once his hand got closer to Malark's body, he felt the warmth that he was looking for. He flipped onto his side and placed one arm on top of the covers and around the sleeping rogue. His body was pressed up against Malark's, wanting to take as much warmth as he could get. They both slept soundly that night.
The next morning, Paddy is the first to wake up. His eyes flutter open to see the familiar face of Malark, very close to his own. Heat rises to his cheeks as he tries to slowly get out of the bed. Once he manages to do so, he sighs in relief. He notices that his friend had taken all the covers and he crossed his arms and shook his head.
"... idiot. 'Least he could've done was shared!"
