"For fucks sake, Malark!"
Paddy groaned as he chased the other around the room they were sharing. He had been using Mage Hand for the past hour to try and get some sort of advantage, but it hasn't been working.
Mal had only snickered as he kept the elf's mask in his hand. He picked a pillow off the bed and threw it at Paddy. A soft "oof" was heard as it collided with his face.
"Oh, that was real mature of you, Mal... give it back!"
He picked it up again and went to throw it back at Malark but he wasn't in his sight. He felt a tap on his right shoulder and swung the pillow towards that direction. Mal had ducked in time and barely missed it. When he stood back up, he flicked the edge of elf's ear.
"Hey! Don't do that you idiot!"
Paddy had cast mage hand once more. It managed to pull the hood off of Mal before the cantrip wore out. Malark leaned against the wall, grinning ear to ear. He let the mask hang from his finger.
"Tired already, Paddock?"
"Stop fucking around mate. Just hand it over."
"I'll think about it."
"Malark!"
"Alright, alright-"
He put his arm behind his back and stepped forward. Leaning towards the elf's face before speaking.
"You know, it's cute when you're frustrated."
Before Paddy could respond, Mal was already ruffling his hair. When he stopped, Paddy looked back up at him with a messy, curly black mop that fell over his eyes. He blew the hair out of the way and surged forward to grab his mask. Malark held it high and out of the trickster's reach. Paddy eventually pinned the other against the wall.
"You're a real pain in the ass, you know." Paddy scoffed.
"The feeling is mutual."
Paddy groaned and took the round wooden mask out of Mal's hands.
"Fucking finally..." He sighed in relief as he put it onto the side of his head. Mal chuckled. He leaned against the wall once more and crossed his arms.
"You sure you got everything, Paddy?"
"Are you sure you have everything?"
Malark's eyes widened slightly before Paddy grinned, lightly tossing a small pouch into the air before grabbing it and running off.
Malark shook his head before going after the elf to get back his gold.
The pounding of footsteps could be heard from the lower level of the inn. Mina looked up at the ceiling and chuckled.
"And the cycle starts again..."
