Warriors - A Fanfic

Chapter Two

Ravenpaw stood up, shocked. This could not be real. Then Ravenpaw noticed Leafpaw meowing with laughter. 

   "Tigerstar... alive?! That's the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard!!!" Leafpaw collapsed on the floor laughing. Firepaw had not said a word, but he just laid his tail over his paws and waited for Leafpaw to collect herself. 

   "I'm not joking. I had a dream last night! Firestar came to me and told me a dark time is coming, and that the tiger is not finished, that he will be resurrected to bring darkness upon the clans!" Leafpaw sat up, a look of astonishment in her eyes.

   "Wait, really? I had a dream from Hollyleaf. She told me that there is going to be three cats that are going to have more power than ever before, more than the previous. I think... I think it could be us. Hollyleaf did also say that they were kin of the three before. Lionblaze was one of the three, right?" Leafpaw began to ponder. Ravenpaw nodded, and sat down.

   "Well, if that's true, then we should look out for anything unusual. Leafpaw, I bet you will be able to go into other cats dreams, since you are a medicine cat apprentice. You also always know what we are thinking of so..." Ravenpaw began meowing curiously. She thought of the fact that she could hear things from far away. She had always thought of that as normal, that all cats were like that. but no one seemed to notice things like it. That must be her power! From Dovewing, she guessed. Leafpaw held her tail up for silence, barely containing her excitement.

   "I know. Also, you do probably have powers from Dovewing." Ravenpaw rolled her eyes as Leafpaw read her mind. That confirmed it. Leafpaw had Jayfeather's powers. But Ravenpaw has seen Firepaw get hurt before. could he perhaps not be one of the three? no, he must not have fully gained his powers yet. "Um, maybe we should go now. i can hear Ivypool calling for me. And Jayfeather is looking for you, Leafpaw. bye!" Ravenpaw slid out from behind the den and padded warily towards her mentor. Ivypool was furious when she caught up to her. 

   "Where have you been? You were supposed to come on a hunting patrol earlier!" Ivypool growled. Ravenpaw shrunk back, embarrassed. She hadn't realized how long they had been back behind the warriors den talking.

   "Um, i was, uh, out for a walk?" Ravenpaw lied. She hated lying, but Ivypool would probably keep her on tick duty for a moon if she told the truth. Ivypool stared at her, clearly not quite believing her completely, then sighed.

   "Well, what's past is past. Come on, let's go do a bit of training. ill even see if Mousewhisker wants to bring Firepaw along." Ravenpaw gave a little bounce of excitement. She loved training with Firepaw! She followed Ivypool as she went over to Mousewhisker, who was sharing a mouse with Berrynose. Mousewhisker looked up at Ivypool and gulped down one last morsel and got up.

   "Hey, Ivypool! You wanting to train our apprentices together or something?" Mousewhisker meowed cheerfully.
