The Green-Eyed Stranger And His Blue-Eyed Monster

Chapter One

Azura POV

I sat there frozen in the passenger seat of mom's car while staring at the school I will be attending from now on. Mom, Kaison and I had to move because mom got a job in another state. That meant new school, new people but same friends because my childhood best friends had moved to this state when we were 11.

"Sweetie you have to get out of the car" mom looked at me with concern and I just sat there, frozen like a deer caught in headlights. I mean a badass like me should be ready for anything but a new school is just not it. "She should probably just sit here and say: "headlights, headlights" like from the movie Peter Rabbit" Kaison said from the backseat. He's a sophomore and I'm a Senior. But he's right.

"Azura baby, you have to get out of the car" she placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder and I finally nodded. "Ok" I breathed out a sigh and she smiled at me. "I'll see you after school... Niah and Noah are probably waiting to see you again" She squealed and I nodded. Niah and Noah are my best friends.

"I'll see you guys later then... I love you" I slowly opened the door while Kai jumped out but mom stopped me by grabbing my shoulder. I gave her a confused look and she laughed kissing my forehead, "Don't get in trouble" I chuckled and stepped out. "And keep an eye on your brother, he's the reason why you get in trouble in the first place" she shouted and I groaned. "Bye mom!"

I watched as she drove out of the parking lot and sighed. "Come on Zura, you'll do great... I got your back" Kai swung his arm over my shoulder and I glared up at him. "More like I've got your back, you always get your ass in trouble" he chuckled in innocence before running towards the entrance knocking my books out of my hands. "Kai seriously come on!" I glared at his retreating back as he laughed. "Idiot!" I bent down to pick up my books and then stood up. "Ok Azura, breathe just don't freak out and see if you can find Niah and Noah and possibly your idiot brother" I pepped talked myself while walking to the schools main entrance. As I was about to look up I bumped into a hard surface and fell on my butt.

"Great, my first day of school and I bump into a wall" I mutter while I pick up my books beside me. "Wait, there are no walls in the parking lot" I face palm myself which hurt actually because I'm wearing black rimmed glasses, "Ouch" I rubbed my nose and heard a chuckling sound.

"Are you ok?" a voice asked and I furrow my eyebrows still not looking up. "Now I'm hearing things" I mumble and look at the ground in front of me and see a pair of sneakers. My eyes trail up the pair of legs and go wide. "Not only am I hearing things, I'm seeing things too" I whispered my voice going up an octave and the guy in front of me laughs. "I'm real, do you need any help?"

"Oh god this is embarrassing, yes I do need help" I stumbled over my words and he smiled giving me a hand to stand up. "Thank you" I mumbled once I was on my feet. I dusted off my jeans and pulled my books to my chest while adjusting my glasses on the bridge of my nose. "Anytime, do you need help finding the main office? I can walk you there?" he suggested and I looked at the main entrance catching sight of two figures. "Actually I have two people who will assist me but thanks for the offer" I muttered before groaning. Why do I have to sound so formal?

"Ok then let me walk you to the main entrance...?" He asked and I nodded in defeat. This guy wasn't giving up. We started for the door him walking in the same pace as me. "I'm Tyler by the way" He said putting his hands in his pocket. "Azura, Nice to meet you", I smiled shyly and he chuckled. Since when was I shy? "Pleasure is all mine Sky" he smirks and I laugh nervously. This dude better not start flirting with me!

Wait he just called me sky?

"Why did you call me sky?" I arched an eyebrow at him and he chuckled. "Azure or Azura as you say it is French for sky blue so from now on I'll be calling you sky... take it as a nickname" he explained using hand gestures with a boyish grin on his face. Nerd Alert! Just kidding!
