Insane

No matter how far I stretch
It's just not enough
To get to you

Just when my fingertips reach high enough to graze your lids
You disappear like a mist

A fog you've turned my mind
A dangerous adventure you are for sure
Days come and go but I remain fogbound in your ghost

I'm gradually losing sanity
But I seek not to be sane
For I fear being sane than insane

So, just for this decade won't you allow me relish insanity
If my heart is only sane in my insanity
I never want sanctuary.
