Ghost King's Torch

Prologue

        He's like the most popular chick at camp. Everybody loves him. Everybody adores him. The nymphs invite him to their tea parties. Aphrodite's daughters often come over to their least favourite cabin just to see him fix his treasures. They would flirt him, ignoring the devil behind their back, throwing nuts and screws at them. I don't want attention. I just want them to know he is not the only person who can burn your hair.

        My name is Jose Valdez. I am the twin sister of Leo Valdez. Not many people know me. Leo, the ugliest moron on Earth, got chosen as The Seven, a group of 'talented' demigods. I entered Camp Half-Blood not long after Leo persuaded me to. But when I got here, Leo is off on his first 'mission'. So without Leo introducing me, no one ever set their eyes on me. I was just another camper, like the third wheel. Sometimes Leo and me talked at dinner, but it was not much since his girlfriend Calypso, a new camper, is flirting him right beside me.I just wanted to set her pretty fair skin and white satin dress on fire. He took Leo's time with me. I wanted time! I just want a minute to start a conversation with no Calypso around. But that chance never happen. She's like always sticking to him.

        My only run away is a demigod from a new cabin. I met him one day when the cleaning harpies asked for help. I was the only one available at that moment, so those wicked creatures bribed me with a gallon of Hephaestus Oil, the best oil type for lighting up things. I failed for that one, and I ended up cleaning that cabin. There, I met Nico diAngelo. Nico is the son of Hades. I am friends with his older sister, Eliza diAngelo. Eliza is one of the few friends I have at camp. The rest are Thania Grace and Clarisse La Rue. But I usually play with Eliza and Thania.

        We talked about usual things, like how a boy's room is always messy. He looks startled after hearing me speak. "You are a girl?" he gasped. He's friends with Leo, and thought I was him, so he's okay with me entering his cabin. I told him yes, and I'm Leo's twin sister. He laughed and said to me when I came in he thought he is seeing Leo after he grow his hair.

        Nico is a good person. We talked every now and then. After talking to him, I began to know that I really look and speak like Leo. But he is the dumbest, ugliest moron on Earth! I'm not like him!
