Damn, Ozpin wasn't kidding when he said he wasn't going to go easy on us! I thought, barely ducking under a right hook from Noire, we had all been put into pairs and told to practice our hand-to-hand, I drew the short straw, landing the person with military combat training, I charged and tried to punch her only for her to easily dodge to the left and kick me in the back, I got off from the floor as Ozpin spoke
"You will have to face strong opponents Mister L/N, they will not grant you the same mercy that your partner will." I nodded and turned back to face Noire, she was already midway through her strike, I instinctively bent backwards, my hands hit the floor and I used that chance to flip and kick Noire in the face
"Very good Mister L/N just like that." He said, I nodded as I dusted myself off
"Now, I hate to intrude, but Oscar needs practice as well." He said, Noire spoke
"Of course, I'll go over to the others." She said, Ozpin flashed, allowing Oscar to take control again
"P-please go easy on me." He asked, I grinned
"You know what Little Cute Boy Ozpin said." I replied, beckoning him to attack, he charged forward, I blocked his first punch and caught his second, I used the hand I caught to pull him closer as I struck, he fell to the floor
"Aura Oscar, remember it next time, it'll save your life." I said, pulling my shirt so he could see the scar left from Cinders arrow, he looked horrified
"Did it hurt?" He asked, I just looked at him
"No, a glass arrow piercing my skin and shattering my Sternum, didn't even feel it!" I said, he rolled his eyes as I helped him up
"What was that that Ozpin was saying last night about you, something about a Semblance?" He asked, I chuckled, I sat down next to the fence looking to the house and motioned for him to sit too
"Put simply, a Semblance is your very own personal superpower, it can do pretty much anything." Oscar looked excited
"Anything!?" He asked, I smiled
"Pretty much, Ruby is super fast, Ren can mask emotions, Noire can learn anything and anyone really quickly." I said, Oscar looked back to me
"What about you?" I smirked
"Copying, almost anything and everything can be mine." I said, Oscar seemed surprised
"That seems overpowered!" He said, I chuckled, well, in theory he isn't wrong
"There are a couple of drawbacks, no healing for a start, can't go too powerful, gotta stay focused while copying and then theirs the powers own drawbacks..." I said, groaning at the last one, Oscar still seemed intrigued
"How do you unlock a Semblance?" He asked, I shrugged
"It's kind of whenever it's needed I guess, Rubys unlocked one day in training, Nora got hit by lightning, Ren nearly got killed by Grimm, Jaune-" I caught myself, Oscar questioned me
"What about him?" He asked
"He hasn't unlocked his just yet, like you, but I'm sure his will be great!" I said, trying to change the subject I remembered my declaration from yesterday
"Right! Listen up Loverboy! It's time for your training!" Oscar panicked, his face going red, well, in my 'vast' experience, one of the best ways to learn, is to just 'do', I quickly ran to the glass doors and poked my head inside
"Obsidian, could you come over here please?" I asked, trying to keep my voice down so Oscar couldn't hear me, Obsidian looked up from the sofa she was lying on
