Sitting down you seemed to calm down and realise that maybe Beck wasn't so bad.
You still didn't trust him all that much, but hey maybe you could give him a chance?
Shaking your head you tried to clear your mind of these thoughts. It would be better to not trust him for the mean while. Thats why you brought your switch blade. Never can be too carefull.
Beck seemed like he was enjoying the silence between you two. It was nice you weren't going to lie.

Beck was making a plan. He was going to take you with him to be his Damsel in distress. You weren't really the fit for that role but he could always break your mind.
He was saving you from the books ending. With him you would be happier. Even if he did break your mind, every couple goes through some hard times.

You got tired of the silence. It became kinda uncomfortable from how Becks aura had became dark. You considered running. At least, your gut told you so.
Beck looked at you.

"Hey, so what do you think of Spider-man?" He asked clearly expecting something to please his ego.
"He's one of my favourite superheroes! I would die for him! He's just so precious!" 'Well apperantly he didn't quite like that answer' you thought after noticing his eyes grew dark and the way his body language changed.
"Really? You would die for a superhero? Doesn't he need to save you? Saving people and not letting them die is kinda their job." He said trying to get you to agree with him.

God, you validating him would be so good.

"You're right but its not some thing that he can control. You can't control who dies too. Superheroes need to try the best but not beat themselfs into the ground because some people die. You can't save everyone. People who do beat other people who couldn't save everyone, are really cruel. At least in my mind." You finished your small rant.
Becks eyes seemed to light up with interest at your responce.

"Your right." He simply said diverting his eyes off of you and instead focusing into the distance ahead of him. You chose to do the same. It was, once again a comfortable silence.

Suddenly he grabbed your hand.

You looked at him, suprise colouring your face.

"You know, I'm trully sorry."

'Oh no. Red flag, red flag, red flag, red flag, red flag, red fla-'
Your mind kept repeating but your body freezing in place.

You needed to move.

Now.

"I don't think you mind if I take you somewhere safer?"

Thats it. Too many red flags.
Your body finally let go of that freezed like state. You needed to find a way for him to loosen his grip on your hand.

So you risked it.

You griped his hand and lifted it up and turning your body so you would be on your knees facing him.

"Beck, you're a nice guy. I really think you are. I don't mind for you to be my friend."

His grip on you loosend from the suprise.

You took your chance, sprung on your feet and started running.

He didn't know these woods. He couldn't catch up to you.

But somehow, and it was terrifying on how, he was right behind you seemingly already knowing what turns you'll take and where to not trip.

You didn't like it. You had to make a plan on the spot. You had to be unpredictable. Then you remembered. The part of the woods you never explored. When you moved in your house and went to explore the wood the first time, you stumbled infront of that part. The vibes it gave you weren't good. They made you more cautious.

You started running towards there. Beck was much more far behind you than before.

How did you even run this much when you didn't even exercise!?
