The Past | A Payton Moormeier and Chase Hudson FFF

Chapter 4

He asked me weird questions while he was driving. I was already happy when I was home. When we arrived near my house, he also got out of the car.

"so, what will you do now?" Jack asked me with a smirk. "noting, I think" I answered him. "what if we make this night a bit more fun" he said and pulled me near to him. "uhh, let me go" I tried pushing him back, but I couldn't.

"you won't escape this" he smirked. "Let me go!" I yelled, he put a hand on my mouth. "shhhh" he said. I started crying, because I knew I'd not get out of this.

Suddenly, someone pulled him backwards and Jack hit the ground. "go to her!" a familiar voice yelled. I saw someone running to me, I was scared for a second, until I saw who it was. It was Payton!

He put his arms around me, he was a bit taller than me, so I hid my face in his chest and cried . He held tight, it felt like he wanted me not to see what happens. When he pulled away, I saw Jack running down the street, and Chase waking over to us.

Everything was still blurry from my crying. "are you okay?" Chase asked me out of breath. "y-yeah" I stuttered in shook. "really?" Chase said, to make sure I'm really okay. "yes" I answered.
"good" Chase ran through his hair with his hand.

"you're bleeding!" I said out loud. "nothing bad" Chase simply replied. "but someone should take a look on that" I said and took his hand, to look at his knuckles. "no need to do that" he pulled his hand back.

"but I wanna do this, you'll come home with me" I said with a serious face. "bu-", "no! You'll!" I interrupted him.
He looked at Payton, he nodded. "okay" Chase finally agreed. "good. I'm living 2 houses away" I said and we started to walk there.

When we arrived, I reconised, that my parents were gone. I forgot that they're going out tonight. I unlocked the door, Chase and Payton followed me. "you can sit down there" I said, and they sat down in the kitchen.

I searched for the first aid kit that we have, when I found it, I looked for some bandages.

I cleaned Chase's wounds and put bandages on it. For a few minutes, there was a total silence between us.
But I decided to break it.

"but, why did you helped me?" I asked quietly. "why shouldn't we?" Chase replied and raised an eyebrow. "I mean, I'm new, and you didn't even knew me for so long" I said and looked down.

"do you think we should just stand there and watch how... how he does that with you. Or walk by? Do you really think we'd do this?" Chase said.

"I don't know. I'm sorry! I... Just... Never had someone doing that for me" I stuttered, my voice cracked. "it's okay" Payton said. They both stood up and hugged me.

"I mean, if you wouldn't have been there, I don't want to imagine what would happen" I explained.

"no need to imagine that, you're save now" they both said. I began to smile a bit, because I was glad that they came and saved me.

"anyways, it's late. We should leave now" Chase said while looking at Payton. "okay" I simply answered. I went with them to the door and said goodbye to them.

When I was back in, it was quite. Just me, and my mind, that's a horrible combination. Later then, I went to bed, still having the pictures in my mind.

Over the weekend, I stayed at home. I didn't wanted to see anyone. I was scared, Chase and Payton might get in trouble. Also, I didn't heared anything from them.

It was Monday, I hate Mondays. I barely got out of bed, and walked down the stairs. I ate breakfast and dressed myself into random clothes.
I took the school bus to school, and walked straight in.

Kate was confused when she saw me waking in like this. "what happened?" Kate asked me with wide eyes. "I need to talk to you" I said and pulled her with me.

I told her what happened on Friday, but when I was about to tell her that Chase and Payton saved me, she already knew.

"...and then they save you" Kate completed my sentence. "what? How do you know!" I was shook. "Jack told us" Kate told me. I was about to reply to her, but a voice cut me off.

"attention, Chase Hudson and Payton Moormeier, please come to the directors office now!" I heard the voice through the speakers.

Angry, I walked to the directors office, Chase and Payton already in. I knocked, and went in.

"excuse me?" the director asked confused. "I'm Aria Cadley. It's about the thing with Jack?" I said. "um, yes" the director answered. "I'm involved" I said with a straight face.

"Aria no-", "shut up, I know the truth" I cut Payton off. The director told me to sit down. I told my view of the story.

At the end of the day, Chase and Payton just had to visit 2 extra lessons. Jack, got suspended for 1 week.

At lunch, I always sat with Chase and Payton. We got quite close, but, they still didn't wanted me to tell what was their secret.

I planned on finding out, but somehow, someone else did it.
