Sam and Cade went on board the submarine first to make sure that it was safe for me, and once the ghost was clear, Vivian helped me get on board. It wasn't that bad to climb down on the ladder.
"How are we going to launch this thing?" Cade asked Vivian, as if she knew how.
"How the heck am I supposed to know? I was a bloody Oxford professor this morning, and now I am a Witwicky with a sixth sense of risk!"
"Guys! Now is not the time to fight!" Sam called out.
Vivian smoothed out her disheveled hair and put her hands in the air.
"Sam's right, we shouldn't argue like that, Cade. I'm going to try to find out how to get this to work." Vivian pushed up a random leveler and set the horn off. We shielded our ears trying to drown out the sound, all of us exclaimed in relief when Cade pushed the leveler back down.
"Okay, this isn't the tool to get this sub going. What about the other leveler?" Cade asked, as he pushes random levelers.
Vivian blushed deep red with humiliation, and Cade chuckled at her red face.
"I knew that the leveler was right there, if you just gave me a moment." Vivian snapped, and I knew that she wasn't really mad at Cade.
I think that Vivian actually liked Cade, and Sam, and I could certainly sense the romantic connection back in Edmund's castle.
"Do you have food?" I asked Sam.
"You're in luck, Lily." Sam took off his backpack and gave me the treats he knew I liked.
"That's why you're my best friend, Sam." I said, snuggling against him.
The sight of Vivian and Cade, arguing was an amusing sight. I stopped eating when I saw the Witwicky talismans glowing in Vivian's palm.
"Are the talismans supposed to shine like that?" I asked her.
She turned around to look at me not knowing what I meant. Immediately, she screamed as the talismans began to creep up her arm. None of us understood what it meant, maybe the talismans knew she carried Witwicky blood.
"Can one of you get this thing off me!?"
I almost choked on my cookies while Cade attempted to catch the talismans, he kept trying, prompting him to grab Vivian's breasts, allowing her to hit him in the face.
"Ow! Shit! I was only trying to help you!"
Clearly, the talismans had a mind of it's own. Cade cursed as he couldn't grab the crawling gold spider. Vivian squealed as the talismans entered her trousers.
"Uh... well, uh... Don't even think about it." Vivian said, no longer messing with the talismans.
"Humans," grumbled Cogman, holding a fish over his shoulder.
"What's with the fish?" Cade asked Cogman.
"Romantic dinner," informed Cogman.
"Romantic dinner? Romantic dinner for who?" Vivian requested.
"You two,"
"Us two? I don't have time for match marker little killing machine. The world is at stake because of the crazy ass sorceresses set on killing us all." Cade ranted.
"Scared of a little ole' date Cade?" Vivian teased.
"Why would I be scared?" Cade shutters while scratching the back of his neck. Sam and I watched from a distance as Cogman were setting the table. I wasn't exactly sure where Cogman found the supplies, maybe he already had them.
