It's the day of the grand opening and I've been running around like crazy person.
"Wait wait wait move it over to the left a little, slowly. Yes right there! Lisa please talk to the photographer to make sure the backdrop came in on time, oh and make sure the staff is ready for tonight!"
"I'm already on it, the backdrop just arrived they're setting it up now and we're doing some last minute test runs as far as service. Jahseh said he would be here soon to take all your stress away." His aunt Charley said.
"I sure hope so." I pouted, I miss my man. He's been in his books so much lately on top of us tryna open up our restaurant.
I looked at my watch and it was time for me to meet up with Jackson.
"Shit I'm gonna be late!" My heels clicked all the way to the elevator as I sent him a quick text.
Valet already had my car ready so I tipped them and hopped in. I know I got a blunt in this car somewhere..I searched quickly and found one in no time, I sparked it and pulled into I-95.
I made it there pretty fast, I pulled up at the restaurant and went straight to Valet, I don't have time to park. I gave them my name, then my keys and headed inside. I spotted him from afar chatting with the waitress..
"Hey baby, I'm sorry I'm late." I said kissing his cheek and hugging him.
"Hey beautiful you look nice! You always late that why's I told you a few minutes before our reservation. How are you?" He laughed.
"You're smart, you know how your mama is. I've been stressed baby boy I need a drink! Can you bring me the finest bottle of Riesling y'all have please?" I asked the waiter that just returned with my water.
"Yes ma'am."
"I can't believe you're part owner at one of the soon to be hottest restaurants in MIA! My mama a boss!"
"Thank you baby, you know this has always been my dream since you were a kid. I'm so glad I finally get to live it, it feels so unreal."
"I know that's why I'm so damn proud. Aye attention!" He yelled holding up his glass getting everyone's attention. Oh my goodness what is this boy doing?
"My mother is opening up the hottest rooftop bar in Miami tonight! I need everybody in attendance, the food is banging, the vibe is positive and the drinks are the best. Come out and celebrate with us, we located on the Sunset strip!" My cheeks turned red at all the attention I was getting, everyone was saying 'congratulations', asking about our food and drinks. On top of that men started approaching me out of nowhere.
"Ouuuuu look mama you finna get ya groove back." He said doing a little dance.
"I already have." I smiled.
"Huh? What you mean?" He smirked at me.
"I've got someone...someone really special to me. It's all kinda new this feeling I have about them."
