I DO NOT OWN THE ANIME, KAKEGURUI'S CHARACTERS, STORY, OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT. THE ONLY THING I OWN IS MY ORIGINAL CHARACTER. THIS STORY IS TAGGED AS MATURE, AS IT MAY CONTAIN PROFANITY, SEXUAL REFERENCES, AND VIOLENCE. You've been warned~

Ryuga Shinsokai, the luckiest man alive, although he wouldn't admit that himself. For Ryuga, life has always been easy. He grew up with great, loving, rich parents. He had a respectable older-sister, and he always had his needs met. Ryuga, even outside of gambling, was extremely lucky. He was gifted with a healthy body, good looks, and an intuitive mind. Some even called him a prodigy when he was in elementary. However, for Ryuga, he felt like the unluckiest man alive.

This reason was because of basic human insatiability. Insatiability means that the human has unlimited wants. But for Ryuga, almost everything he wanted came to fruition.  The only thing he lacked in was romance, but he didn't have much interest in that. He figured it was because of his cold personality that women avoided him. Moving on, Ryuga's insatiability dulled throughout the years. When one has everything they could desire, they try to find more; however, what more could he get? This feeling of emptiness caused Ryuga to stop playing with his luck. Instead of a gift, he saw it as a curse.

Ryuga refrained from making any contact that had to do with luck. This, of course, meant no gambling, no romance, no friends, nor contact with his family. Ryuga became terrified that his own luck would turn around and betray him. He became so anxious, in fact, that he decided to move out of his parent's luxurious mansion. He took only enough money to guarantee safe living, and set out on his own path. This path lead him to enroll in Hyakkaou Private Academy. He knew this school was notorious for gambling, but he thought that he could "safely" gamble without using his luck. He told himself that if he was to gamble, it would be only for fun, not for profit, and it would be light and safe. He told himself he wouldn't cheat or rely heavily on his luck.

With his enrollment, came a reply. With his exceedingly good grades, he was accepted into the school by the headmaster himself. Ryuga got a box at his apartment one day, and he opened it to find a letter and a uniform inside. Before reading the letter, he checked the uniform. It matched his physique perfectly, which he thought was unsettling. He opened the letter and read it to himself.

Dear Mr. Shinsokai

I am the Student Council President of Hyakkaou Private Academy, Kirari Momobami, and I was instructed to personally write to you through the headmaster's wish. Your grades and perfect attendance are something only around 3% of the population can accomplish. The school would be very pleased to have such a student like yourself. However, before you make your final decision, I must warn you about the school donation system. This system allows every student to make small donations toward the school, in order to provide better learning equipment and necessities. Failure to donate can be penalized, and even expulsion can be a result. I was instructed to warn you about this, since it would be unlawful to push a donation fee onto students without their knowledge. It would be an honor to have you attend our academy, and I look forward to your success in this school.

Best Regards,

Kirari Momobami

Ryuga sighed and put down the letter. He had made a decent amount of money by working odd-jobs around his living area, but he wasn't a millionaire. Technically, if he still lived with his parents, he could be a billionaire, but he didn't have much interest in excessive money. He figured that he was bound to spend his money sometime, since he was a minimalist, and thought that it would be fine to spend it to the school's donation system.

Ryuga: "The student council president said it wasn't much. So hopefully I won't get kicked out if it's an outrageous amount and I can't pay it."

He decided to try on the uniform. Once it was fully on, he rolled up the sleeves twice, not wanting to be too hot, and looked at himself in the mirror. He ran his icy hands through his snowy hair, and his violet eyes gazed at himself.
