"Aww! It's so cute!"
"What's its name?"
"Can we keep it!?"
Everyone surrounded Marvin the living room, fascinated by the new little friend he brought home. Off to the side, Septic watched in disgust as they all fawned over the small creature.
Anti hopped up and down excitedly, "Well, can we!? Can we keep it!?"
Sean, trying his best to be the responsible one, argued, "Who's gonna take care of it? Any of you gonna clean up after it and feed it?"
Marvin held the kitten close to him, "It's not a problem. Please, Sean? We can take care of her, I promise"
"Where'd you find the little guy, anyways?" Jackie lightly scratched behind the kitten's ears as it purred.
"I was performing my street magic when I saw this poor little girl hiding in an alley. I couldn't find its mother anywhere. I couldn't just leave her there"
Sean sighed, "We probably need to take it to the vet. They could put her in a nice shelter"
"No!" Anti whined, "We can take care of her! We'll take turns! Please?!"
Sean looked on as all of his egos, save for Septic, practically begged him with puppy eyes. Or in this case, kitten eyes.
"What's so special about this little runt anyways?" Septic finally came forward closer to inspect, "It's so small, you could crush it with one fist"
Anti shoved him, "Septic! It's a poor little kitten in need of love and care! Isn't she cute?"
Septic glared at the kitten as it stared up at him in wonder, almost hypnotized by his bright green eyes, "No. It's weird. I say get rid of it"
The others groaned at him but Schneep came closer to inspect the kitten as well, "Ve don't need to take it to a vet. I could give her zhe proper inspections myself, Sean."
The kitten was trying desperately at this point to jump out of Marvin's arms.
Sean watched, a little concerned as it broke free out of Marvin's grasp and suddenly launched itself onto Septic's leg.
"AGH! Get it off! What the fuck!?" he tried shaking his leg to remove it.
Anti grabbed him, "Septic, calm down! You'll hurt her! Just hold still"
Septic reluctantly did so but the kitten just climbed her way up to Septic's shirt.
"Hold her" Anti forced Septic's arms around the small creature, "I think she likes you"
"I don't know" Jackie said, "Something might be wrong with that cat now that I think about it"
Chase went over to Sean and whispered in his ear, "I think we should keep it. I mean look. It might be good for Septic. Might teach him how to love things properly?"
They all watched in both amusement and concern as Septic did as Anti instructed and held the kitten, staring at it in confusion as it cuddled itself up in his arms purring.
Sean took a deep breathe, trusting Chase's judgement, "Fine. You guys can keep it for now."
They all cheered, making Septic flinch, "Wait what!? But why?!"
Anti snickered and pet the kitten in Septic's arms, "Just relax, man. She likes you and you didn't even need to manipulate her. It's that neat?"
Septic gave Anti a 'look' but rolled his eyes, "Whatever. Remove this thing from me. It's making weird noises and I don't like it"
