Poem 4; Sailing the Sea

A vision of love and laughter

All that I can see

A vision of love and laughter

Calling out to me!

I see it straight ahead,

Staring at it with my eyes,

But as I'm about to reach it,

I am taken be surprise.

Because life is not that easy

It doesn't give perfection away

You have to work to get what you want

And that's how the world will stay.

So rage on through the night, my dear,

rage on through the night,

because when the sun will rise in the morning

You'll see the shining light.

And even though we have yet

to see the brilliant dawn,

I promise that I'll hold your hand

if you will come along.

But if you come along, my dear,

Oh if you come along,

You'll have to face some fears, my dear,

and keep hope going strong.

And as a fellow human being,

I would say listen well,

Because fear is always the guardian

where all things hope can dwell.

So when you come to the hight of horror,

Remember the shining light,

Cleanse yourself in its brightness,

and you will make it through the night.
