Shallow Valley 🏞

I was sleeping until sound of footsteps and whispering woke me up.

I opened my eyes looking towards the noises, smiling at what I was seeing.

Clarke was holding one of my babies in her arm, rocking and whispering.

From the clothes I recognised it was Becca.

"Clarke?..."

My voice was raspy and I let out a yawl.

Clarke shushed making me chuckle.

"I was about to woke you up, I think she's hungry" Clarke said, sitting on the bed, handing me Becca.

It's so nice to see how much she cares that she would wake up in the middle of night just to check on them.

sometimes I think about how I'm gonna make it up to her.

"Hey there beautiful....." I caressed my daughter's face with my fingers.

She blinked looking towards me, her mouth slightly open.

They say that new born babies don't see well for first one or two months, they listen and look towards the sound.

Her eyes was scanning my face, I know that she's not seeimg me that well, probably a blury image.

I smiled kissing her cheek.

They are three days old now.

I held Becca in my arm and started breast feeding her.

I wish Lexa was here, she would've been so happy.

They must've woken her up now, it's been 7 month since her injury.

I don't know what she's doing or what she's going through.

She must be so mad at me for leaving her, or maybe think I didn't make it.

I sighed thinking about her, while I stared at my daughter.

She finally stopped sucking and I knew she was full, I laid her on one side of my chest as I gently tapped on her back.

If you don't do that, then they will get gas and won't sleep at night cause they don't have enough strength to get it out, so their belly will hurt.

After few seconds She let out little burps making me giggle "bon appetit" I smiled removing her from my chest and laid her down on the bed gently, she was sleep.

I smiled adoring her.

"One day all of us will be together, I'll promise you" I said with a low voice, kissing her hand.
