It was around 7 pm tonight. I was laying on the grass, watching the stars above twinkle and gleam. I looked over to my side and saw my one of my first friends next to me. He was so cool and awesome. I never understood why he cared about me when we first met, though sometimes I wish I could actually speak to him without stumbling on my words or just overall turn into a fool.

Although, he wasn't the toughest or ready to fight on cue. He was still.. awesome. When we first met, I felt so stupid of what I did. It played out like this..

-Past-

I was sitting on a tree branch, until I see a strawberry-blonde walked around. Of course, I looked down at him, curious. I've never seen him around in the woods before and he didn't look like the type to throw stuff at me. But then he looked up at me, and yelled something weird like, "Hey tree girl!" I mean, he did make a keen observation I guess?

I looked at him and of course I responded, "Yeah what'd you want?" I was suspicious of him at first because I didn't want to get beat up again. His friends could've been lurking in the bushes. He snapped me out of my thoughts when he said the word ". . Computer?" I looked around, confused, then I saw a computer on a nearby tree branch. I carefully climbed over to the branch and snatched the laptop. I thought, "This laptop probably costs more than my life.."

As I slid down the tree with the laptop secured in my hands, the boy came closer to me. Getting a closer look at him, he looked really nice and sweet. He had strawberry-blonde hair with ocean blue eyes. He gently took the laptop from my hands and sat on the grass starting to type on it.

Honestly, I was kind of shocked he didn't hit or scream at me. I looked at him sit there and then I fidgeted with my white-ish hair. I went over and sat beside him, "What's your name?" I asked. What? I couldn't help it, I was curious..

He looked at me and said, "Samuel.. but you can call me Sam. Or Sammy.." He was so calm and he spoke softly. He didn't look at me with any hatred or disgust in his eyes. I felt comfortable around him.

I snapped back into reality when Sam asked my name. "My name..?" I couldn't tell him I was a Waqu! I just couldn't! What should I say? I've constantly had to move around my whole life what name could I use..

"My name is Shae.." The words had escaped my mouth. I quickly covered my mouth, but he only smiled and nodded. Sam went back to coding.

I looked at him, ".. But, some people call me a hobo.." Sam glanced at me and shrugged, "Some people call me Android Anyway.."

I giggled, "They call you Android?"

"Well, Yeah.. Hey, we can be the Hobo and Android!"

I laughed, smiling. I haven't smiled in such a long time. He then chuckled, "Yeah! Hey, wanna be friends?" He asked me. I was shocked because I still don't understand why he asked me that. He was nice to everyone and anyone, even if they hurt him.. he was still nice. I was awestruck by his personality then and still am. I finally smiled and nodded, "Yeah!"

-Present-

Sam was just chilling beside me, we both were watching the stars until he asked a question, "Shae? What's your family like?"

My eyes widened and my skin turned pale, Sam sat up and saw my color changing. "S-Shae!?"

I was doing so well, I couldn't tell him about my family or childhood. Sure, I could make one up but I feel like I have to be honest around Sam. He tried to look me in the eyes, but I avoided eye contact. I finally sat up and took a deep breath, "I-I'm sorry.. I just don't have a good family life."

Sam nodded, "I'm sorry. . Do you need to talk about it?"

Before I knew it I started to tell him about everything I went through in the last fourteen years.
