deku's POV
(y/n) and I walked hand in hand, we walked along the sidewalk in a comfortable silence. well, what was supposed to be a comfortable silence.
my mind ran around in circles as I kept getting lost in my thoughts. I feel intimidated at the thought of meeting two people. back at home its just my mom and I and (y/n) already met my mom no problem. if she only had a mom, id be significantly less nervous. I feel like a dad would be more protective of his daughter. what if her mom likes me but her dad didn't? what if neither of them like me? would we have to break up?
"calm down. you'll be okay." (y/n) whispered, turning her head to look up at me. she smiled, pulling my hand up to her face to place a kiss. "you're squeezing my hand." she mumbled, turning forwards again to walk normally.
"what if they don't like me? or what if your mom likes me but your dad doesn't?" I asked, squeezing her hand again as I felt a bead of sweat starting to form on my forehead.
"don't worry so much! I promise they'll like you. you're more familiar with them than you think you are."
"what do you mean by that?" I asked, a fresh wave of anxiety washed over my body.
"you'll see babes." (y/n) mumbled, turning onto the walkway to an all too familiar house. I felt the color drain from my face, my hands ran cold and breathing became a chore as I looked up at Bakugo's house.
(y/n) practically dragged me up to the front door. as the door opened, I made direct eye contact with Bakugo as he was walking towards what I assume is the kitchen.
his eyes shifted to a heavy glare as they clipped down towards our hands before quickly shooting back up to my face.
"why the fuck are you here?" he asked, stepping closer, singling me out as I backed away. he noticed that I had dropped her hand, backing away once he noticed.
"mom remember Midoriya right?! also call off the dog!" (y/n) yelled through out the house, effortlessly pushing Bakugo out of her way as she grabbed my hand again to pull me along.
"Katsuki back off! the green haired boy? I remember him." Mitsuki yelled, stepping out from around the corner.
(y/n) and I silently sat on the couch together while we waited for dinner, bakugo sat across from us in a chair which was incredibly awkward and scary. I have never been so relieved for food to be ready in my life.
I sat next to (y/n), bakugo sat across from us again while his parents sat on either ends of the table. bakugo held a heavy glare as he ate, never breaking eye contact with me. if his goal was to make me uncomfortable, he succeeded easily. (y/n) sat completely oblivious next to me, silently enjoying her meal.
"back. off!" Mitsuki yelled across the table, glaring at bakugo. (y/n) looked up at that, laughing as bakugo turned his nameless anger towards his mother.
"this is none of your business! old hag!" bakugo yelled, grumbling as he shoved food into his mouth. (y/n) laughed harder, leaning back in her chair at the small fight.
"I'm sorry if they're too loud." I turned my head at the timid voice, it was (y/n)s dad. he smiled sweetly at me, looking down to continue eating.
after dinner, (y/n) walked me outside to tell me goodbye. we had previously agreed for me to just go home alone so she didn't have to walk me home then have to walk home alone in the dark.
she leaned in, placing a gentle kiss to my lips, "that wasn't so bad was it?" she asked, pulling away and grabbing both of my hands to connect them between us.
"I think the scariest part was Bakugo." I muttered, letting out a breathy laugh as I spoke.
"which distracted you from the fear of meeting my parents so I think its a win. you don't even have to worry about him anyways." she said, pulling me close for a tight hug.
ciao guys :) sorry if this newer version seems a little half assed near the end. to be honest, I'm not really into mha anymore and I'm not too compelled to write about it but I enjoy the practice and these older versions are absolutely atrocious.
