ALLISON"Hey, um... Dad?"
"Yes Allison? Do you need anything?"
"Me and my friends.. um, we plan to go to Berlin lake tomorrow."
"Oh. Alright. I'll call the resort now and reserve a couple of rooms for you. How many are you?"
"Somewhere eight?"
"Right. Okay. I'll reserve two rooms then."
"Thanks dad."
"Anytime."
I end the call, and noticed that I haven't opened my father's gift yet.
I walked to Luke's bed, and grabbed the small paperbag. It's simple looking.
As I sat down on his bed, I felt something under my ass. And I pulled my phone out. I hate this phone, anyway. Stupid.
Having an iPhone 4 in the world where iPhone 6 exists? Pity.
It has cracks already, for I have used it for years.
I threw it disappointingly across the room, making a loud thud, and a couple of cracking sounds.
Stupid phones and their shitty screens.
I opened the paperbag, and immediately questioned myself if throwing my phone across the room is destiny for me to find a new phone inside this paperbag?
Indeed, I wasn't dreaming. I'm not hallucinating either.
A new phone lay there, waiting for me patiently.
And it's the latest phone.
This is heavenly.
And he left some cash for me.
It feels like i'm still a kid though. Receiving cash as gifts. And there was a small card folded inside the bag. I picked it up, and unfolded the embroidered, fancy card.
Dear Allison,
I'm sorry for missing your seventeenth birthday, also your sixteenth and fifteenth. I didn't get the chance to celebrate. Or we.
I never want to miss your birthday again.Dad.
I almost cried because of his letter.
"Allison?" I heard Aspen's voice, and her footsteps coming up. I quickly hid the letter and everything except for the phone.
I also wiped my tears before she opened the door. "Hey, are you alright?"
"Yeah, yeah. Father said he'll reserve us two rooms with four beds in each."
"That's great. I'm excited! Aren't you?" She said, shaking me. "We're definitely going to shop now."
"Now? Are you serious?" I asked, and she nodded. "Go change from that sweatpants while I tell the others."
I nodded as I showered and changed as quickly as I could. I went downstairs, bringing my new phone with me. I haven't explored in it yet, and no one knew about this yet. Well, it's always Aspen who knows first.
Maybe this is a farewell gift from my father.
I placed it deep inside my pocket and went downstairs with the others, who are fully dressed and ready to go.
"Let's go!" Aspen said, grabbing my hand and pulling me out the door. "So, you, Allison, Luke, and Calum.. You will ride with me." Why Luke, though?
"Because you need opposite company." Aspen whispered back, in which I wondered if I said that out aloud. "Yes you just did. So shut up before I shove a cactus inside your mouth."
Spencer, Kacey, Michael, and Ashton are in Ash's pickup, and we're in Aspen's lambo. She always has fancy cars.
"This is so cool." Luke breathed out, wandering in the backseat with me. We're basically alone in the backseat, because damn Calum he sat on the passenger seat.
"Thanks for the compliment." Aspen grinned, driving off behind Ashton.
"Any plans for bikinis, Al?"
I froze in my seat. "Um, what? No- I'm not planning on anything." I replied back nervously. "Come on, Allison Grace, don't be such a party pooper!"
"I'm not being a party pooper! I just- I never wear those things." I replied back, my cheeks flushing hot with embarrassment.
I hope Luke doesn't laugh internally with this.
I can see Calum laugh in his seat, which made me frown.
"Don't say that. I remember when we were sixteen, and you wore a bikini. "
I hid my self with my hands from embarrassment. "Wait.. I thought you're in college?" Luke blurted out, his face in confusion. "Ha, in case you didn't know, my parents let me in college early for two years, and luckily my brain just has to be so smart not to go to college. Normally, I would be in your year." She smiled, pracically happy about it."That's so cool." Luke said, fiddling with his phone. Aspen grinned, going back to her story. "And so, continuing back to the story, I made Allison wear a pair of bikinis I bought for her."
"Forced." I corrected, which made her laugh. "You're silly, Al. A lot of guys had an eye for you." She smirked, which made my cheeks flush more. "Stop it, Aspen. That was a year ago." I groaned, and she shrugged. "I guess were here, then?" Aspen said, parking her car and locking the car as we left.
"So, where are we going first?".

Filler. I'm sorry.
