SEE YOU AFTER A WEEK

"Are you sure you don't want me to come along? I can be a good travel companion", My friend Shiila said, her name is pronounced as shi-ih-la but I called her Shi.

"I know but ano pa magiging purpose ng travelling alone ko kung kasama kita?" I asked while packing my things. I will be on a week vacation sa villa ng friend ni tita. It's nice to have connections somehow, libre lodging ako"

"Alam ba to ng mommy mo?" she asked

"Nope pero don't worry, she will never ask, lagi namang busy yon sa trabaho" I replied and zipped my backpack "I think my clothes are konti, what do you think?"

"Caren, isang linggo ka lang don diba? Bakit nakadalawang maleta ka tapos may backpack ka pa?"

"Eh, just in case maubusan ako ng damit?" I asked. Me and Shi looked at my luggages and medyo OA nga siya tignan. So, we decided to unpack them and just pick few jeans and dresses na pwede kong dalhin. Hindi daw kasi nakakatuwa yung magtatravel na buong cabinet dala

"Anong oras ba alis mo?"

"10PM" I replied and it's past 8PM already tapos ngayon lang talaga ako nagaayos ng mga dadalhin

"You're unbelievable. Kelan ka pa magiging prepared ng mas maaga?" Shi asked then laughed

"Maybe kung you'll gonna help me with these diba? Hindi yung tatawanan mo lang ako"

"Kung ako yung may vacation trip na ganyan, one week before the trip, ayos na mga dadalhin ko"

"Eh ang dami mo kasing arte kaya ganun. Ako, I'm lowkey lang"

"Dami sinasabi di naman ako isasama sa trip" she sulked "next time sama mo ako ha?"

"I will" I grinned "I'm sorry, matagal ko na kasing plan to and I'm glad matutuloy na. I just want a breather away from everyone. I hope okay yung villa, like, magcoffee ako every afternoon while reading magazines under coconut trees diba?"

"Dami mo pa scenario eh I know you'll gonna sleep all day and night lang naman"

We both laughed

"You know me well" I replied. By this time, naayos na namin yung dadalhin ko and isang big luggage na lang siya tapos yung backpack ko, which I have all the needed essentials sa byahe "so, see you after a week?"

"See you" she replied and stopped "gago ihahatid kita sa bus station diba?"

I laughed

"Oo nga, sinasabi ko lang, kasi yun naman reality, see you after a week"

"Ewan ko sayo" she jumped off the bed and pulled her cardigan tapos kinuha na rin niya car keys niya from her study table "let's go, kasalanan ko pa kapag nalate ka"
