Firey poked his nose through one of the gates, sliding under the cold structure. All on his own. He swerved through clusters of undergrowth, sharply inhaling the furless scent. Pin's stale scent bathed in his mouth as it got stronger. He toppled over some stones as he approached the pelted-home. Firey whirled his head to a open gap in the middle of the wall. The invisible wall was slightly open. Blood roared in his ears as he padded across the clearing, turning his head to the shuffling around the trash. Raccoons gazed into him, their eyes sparkling brown. They reflected his flaming tale, their faces scorched with head as he hissed towards them. The group of raccoons curled together, snarling and spitting back at Firey. Firey's claw lit up, he slashed as them as a sparks of fire ignited from his paws. The raccoons tumbled around each other, two scurrying off. Firey wanted to engulf them into flames already. His claws stretched over the wall as he climbed. The other three raccoons watched in awe. Firey scurried under the gap, he slid through the smooth wall. Everything was dark, but warm. He rushed past a hall, Pin's scent forcing into Firey's mouth. She was terrified. Firey fumbled his claws across a soft, blue rock. It was huge, with wooden legs under it. He leapt onto it's arm, eyeing a red cat. She had no scent of blood, and not even a collar on him. She smelled like them. Pin was overjoyed, she bounded to Firey, licking behind his ears. She even smelled like the dogs we fought! Firey choked back a hiss as he gazed into her eyes. "Firey! Your back, I hope to rescue me!" Pin mewled. Firey nodded, leaping over her. "Come on, lets get going!" He coaxed. Pin shook her head. "Firey, I believe the dogs you fought live here, and if you wake them-!" Pin shivered, he hackles rising. Firey dipped himself against the soft structure, fear roaring through him. "But I snuck in! They aren't noticing."
"They have, I heard their sniff!"
Firey quivered, he tossed himself off as Pin tailed him. "I can't smell the one I fought!" Firey growled. Then it hit him. Their scent stung his nose, they both were awake. "They're awake!" Firey squalled. Pin's ears flatten against her head. They darted their heads around. Their scent was getting close!
Firey fled out of panic. One of them raced in, barking. The barking spit the air, Pin bolting over the ground as the dog thumped behind them. Firey escaped through the gap, crying in triumph. Pin followed, the dog snapping at her tail.
The lights flickered on, the gap glowing as well as above it. The furless yowled as Firey and Pin bolted under the undergrowth.
We're done.
