As cats venture through the forests, they are left with many struggles. Four and X, leader and deputy watch over the clutters. Romance and violence is one thing, but when will there be something peaceful?
Loser was sitting out of the den, looking at the planted area. "Loser? What are you doing?" Cake asked as he walked out and sat by him. "I planted a seed here, don't see a sprout, though then again it takes patience," Loser said. "Ah," Cake replied. Loser yawned as swayed his tail. "Good morning! I have news for you all!" Firey shouted as he came out of nowhere. Cake stared at Firey. "Wait when were you- I believe i'm a better leader then Loser!" Firey said, leaving Cake with an unfinished sentence."I'm not the one thats banished over here!" Firey giggled as he went up the high rock. "Leafy c'mere!" Firey shouted as Leafy padded along the rock, sitting next to Firey. "This here, is a pregnant queen!" Everyone gasped as they eyed Leafy. She did start forming quite a belly. "Wait Firey- is she really pregnant?" Clock asked. "Yes she is! Meaning we will have another loser! Now Loser, morning report?" Firey said. "Uhm-" Loser mumbled, he stumbled away, Cake following. "Cake, what do I do?" Loser asked. "Wait what about our plan?" Cake asked. "Oh yeah, the plan-" Loser was soon cut off by Firey's meow. "You guys talking about morning reports?" Firey asked. "Uhh yeah!" Cake said. "Lets go."
Loser and Cake walked out of camp. "So, we get to the dog, and we fight it to prove ourselves!" Cake yipped. "Cake, I don't this is such a great idea," Loser muttered. "Well, theres always Four to come back in for an emergency," Cake stated. "He can't always be there for us, in fact- I don't even want us getting hurt! I would be devastated seeing you in pain," Loser said. "Psh! I'll be fine, now are you gonna come or not? Because imma go," Cake asked. Loser shook his head. "Cake- don't go I don't even think the dog is still there!" Loser yelped in worry. "Well fine! Im going on my own to prove to Four how worthy I really am!" Cake snapped as he bolted towards where the dog used to be. Loser panicked, he stepped forward and looked back as he began pacing, groaning in severe stress.
Cake galloped to where the dog bolted out of. He looked around in the field he was in. "Here kitty kitty kitty," a faint demonic-like voice echoed through the trees. Cake looked at where it was coming from and saw the dog slowly coming out from behind a tree, drooling as it growled. Cake smiled. "Heheh! Come at me ya idiot loser!" Cake snapped. The dog snarled and barked loudly, racing at Cake. Cake turned right and ran, bolting up a low branch before leaping off it. The dog gained on Cake. Cake's heart sank, he paused, turning back and running towards the dog. Cake pounced but the dog also jumping up, catching Cake and throwing him against the ground. Cake yowled in pain, looking into the dog's eyes as the dog pinned him. The dog snarled as he sunk his teeth into Cake's throat. "Help me! Loser help me!" Cake screamed as his claws drew against his muzzle. "Loser!!"
Loser's ear turned. He raised his head, stopping his pacing around and gasped. He dashed through Cake's scent and finally made it there. The dog walked off, Loser's ears flattening as he saw Cake on his side, lifeless with fear still in his eyes. Loser trotted to Cake, tears forming in his eyes. "C-Cake I would have still waited for you if you didn't call my name, i'm sorry about everything- I should have came with you. I'm sorry- I'm really-" Loser just broke down into tears as he hugged Cake's dead body. It began raining, lightning striking the sky. "I failed my dignity, you were everything to me Cake, i'm sorry, I love you- it's all my fault!" Loser shouted. His cries louder. Loser slowly picked Cake up with his head and slid his body to his shoulders. Cake died. He was no longer gonna talk with Loser, or cuddle with, he won't jump around and run like he used to anymore. He's dead.
Loser walked back to camp, everyone looking at Loser with a shocked expression. Eggy ran to Loser. "What happened?" She asked. Coiny raced in as well, with the others following. Firey's ears flattened. "I can try- No Leafy, he's dead." And with that, Loser finished his words, he walked to the high rock and set Cake's dead body down. "Cake died an honored death, fighting a dog to prove himself. We will all miss him very much, his death was painful but quick, and I am sorry for the loss of Cake," Loser announced. "May us share our last moments with Cake before we dispose of his body."
Loser grabbed Cake's dead body with his mouth and leapt down, dropping his dead body before landing. The Losers circled around Cake's dead body and licked his fur to honor his death. Loser lowered his head, everyone else following once done. Loser began crying against as he fell by Cake's body, curling his tail around his dead body.
"Will Loser be alright?" Pin asked. "I don't know, Loser and Cake have been best friends for many moons, even in their childhood," Clock replied. Pin's ears flattened as she felt sympathy for Loser.
