"How're ya doing toots?"
Clementine scrambled up onto her knees at the sound of the voice. She hadn't expected to hear someone so suddenly, when it had been perfectly silent all night. Not even walkers had been heard. It was unsettling to say the least, that's one of the reasons she hadn't slept.Of course the main reason was the fact that she was thinking about where AJ was, and the situation they're in, and how they're gonna get out, and if they're gonna get out, and-
"I'm shocked you woke up so quick. Those tranquillisers are pretty strong."
Clementine rubs her eyes lightly, unsure if what she's seeing is correct, how could a pair of eyes talk?
That's when she notices the green eyes are accompanied with the rest an older man's face. He's forty-something?Fifty?With a stubble and his dark hair cut short, similar to a soldier.
He's not a tall man; but muscles lightly protrude from beneath his leather jacket. He could definitely throw a punch. One that would knock Clem right out for another day."Where is he?" Clementine asks, her tone demanding and voice raspy from dryness as she tilts her head up at the man.
The man grunts "Hold on there lassie. That tone's just a bit too confident for my liking." He slowly pulls something from his pocket.
Clem just rolls her eyes, standing up on her shaky legs, asking once more, her tone slightly calmer.
"Where is he?""You learn quick I see."
The adolescent just stared, unblinking at the man's cold eyes, as she waited for an answer to her question.Huffing, the man finally answered.
"The boy's fine.He just got moved to a different cell further down."
Clementine felt herself sigh in relief, AJ didn't deserve violence or death, after everything they've been through.
"But you shouldn't worry about him at the moment."
Clem raises an eyebrow in question to this. What else was she meant to worry about?"You can call me Terry. Well, beta Terry is the term, really.
Some officers caught wind of you and the boy two days ago, sent a message over to us at the main base. The rest is simple."Terry revealed, before clearing his throat, a serious face washing over his earlier calm state.Cautiously, the ebony-skinned teen questions "Where exactly is 'here' ?"
Terry clicks his tongue "of course, where are my manners?" He snorts with laughter before finishing.
"This here's Ericson's Containment Facility, for the Unstable, missy."Clementine coughs, choking on her remaining spit, at his answer. So she and AJ had finally been given a chance to see one of these facilities, like she had wanted to years ago. However, her gut still aches and she still smelt shit in the air.She knew this place was not as nice as the posters made it seem. After all, she was being held in a cage and called 'unstable'.
"What do you mean by 'unstable'? me and AJ are perfectly fine. You can let us go." Clementine explains, crossing her arms to seem more menacing,
." We didn't ask to be brought here."
Of course they hadn't, but if she was wrong and the facility really did provide the old luxuries..."No can do, missy. You've been found, we gotta sort you and the kid out."
"Oh..."So is it true?
"Just know, not all of us Officers are the nicest" Terry rubs his neck nervously
"Especially when it comes to girlies like you."The girls eyebrows furrow in shock and disgust, understanding immediately.
Terry sighs.
"Yeah...Just do as your told, toots.I'm being lenient with you cos you're new. Most of us ain't, hell, I ain't so kind usually. Not that I'd go that low.Just, listen to us, and you and the boy won't get trouble." The short man finishes, shaking his head as he passes a small water bottle through the bars, Clementine suspiciously glances at it, shaking her head.
"It ain't drugged.Take it, or you'll be mute by tomorrow." The man smirks, gesturing his head at the bottle.
