-*Violet's POV*-
The sound of the birds chirping woke Violet up from her few moments of slumber. She had stayed up practically all night practicing her guitar solo for the upcoming music festival that her school, the Ether Musical Institution (EMI), was hosting. Due to that, she had only fallen asleep for a few hours before she had to wake up. God I'm tired, why couldn't I just skip school today? Covering up a huge yawn, she grudgingly went downstairs to where the quiet sounds of coffee being made and the flipping of a newspaper greeted her.
"Hey Mom, hey Dad. Good morning." Her words that she repeated every morning was answered the same as usual, by silence. Violet really couldn't care less about what they said, but she felt like it was her right as a daughter to at least acknowledge her parents, no matter how much she hated them. "Mom, can you help me find my shoe please?" My younger sister, Aqua, came timidly into the room, her footsteps like a cat's. "Of course sweetie! Where did you last put them?" My mother's attention was immediately snapped up, and she walked away to help Aqua. "Vi, have you seen my prank box?" My twin sister Scarlett came dashing into the room, tripping Aqua as she ran past. "Scarlett! Be careful! You could've hurt my baby!" Her mother yelled, her face was not very happy.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever." Scarlett muttered as she sat down at the table. "Scar, mom's gonna explode one of these days if you don't learn a little respect." Violet said, placing a plate of pancakes onto the table. "That's easy for you to say, you don't care if you get attention or not." Scarlett retorted, glaring at the pancakes as though it had just insulted her. "That's true. But you still need to watch your mouth." Violet always had to lecture her twin on these things, and it was very boring to do it over and over again. A small chime came from Violet's pocket, and she looked down to see a new text from her best friend, Zero.
Zero: Vi, it's time to head out
Violet: Okay, I'm coming. See you in five.
Zero: 😝
Violet:😌
Grinning, Violet sped out the door and towards the school with high hopes of a fun week.
